I dunno about the US, but in Japan, to ride an eBike like those, you must put a number plate, apply for a mandatory insurance and must hold a bike driver's license. So stressful.
Yeah, that sounds stressful! In the US, it's more relaxed, no license, number plate, or insurance needed for most e-bikes. Japan's rules are stricter, probably for safety, but it can feel like a hassle.
Too many different models, makes for a clogged up inventory list with not that many takers.........causing higher prices on the few more desirable models............GM learned the hard way and had to eliminate several entire lines of their products.
