Hey folks, obviously this video is a bit late, the production for this video was originally delayed back in May due to illness, and consequently fell into a bit of a quagmire, but the good news is the next episode, covering the best mods of March 2024, is just about finished. It'll air to the public next Saturday (September 7th), with Patreon subscribers getting access on either Monday or (more realistically) Tuesday. We actually have another 30-minute showcase video airing this Wednesday, September 4th, which is already up for Patreon backers. Also, expect to see a return to our shorter Mod of the Day videos in the next week or so. As always, you can find my graphics mod list here: docs.google.com/document/d/1gVeM37dw4g5fJvMuJzC5t84yEDtnPbHmk93f1sxRmbc/edit?usp=sharing And if you enjoy our content, consider supporting the channel on Patreon! www.patreon.com/MorrowindModding
Glad you like the texture packs :) I will get back to Morrowind again, the grass mod needs a rework + more stuff. If someone has missed out on the fantastic game Gothic 2 i can highly recommend it, great RPG, and one of the classics imo. I've got a texture replacer for that one which remasters the entire game basically, it's on NexusMods. A 1.0 release is imminent.
Im a bit late too , been in hospital , Im now 70 so the motor needs a bit of attention now and then but still loving the channel Hope you keep going longer than I do 🙂 The memories of Abot and Mad Max do not spoil my enjoyment of the new mods rather it is great
Oh, I've got quite a few UI mods installed, here, I've got a full list of them linked in my graphics mod list, just scroll down to the User Interface section: docs.google.com/document/d/1gVeM37dw4g5fJvMuJzC5t84yEDtnPbHmk93f1sxRmbc/edit?usp=sharing
Oh devil, it's a lot. I mean, we've showcased about 2,000 mods on this channel? I've playtested quite a few more, and I've been installing and playing Morrowind mods for over 20 years. It's probably close to 10,000 mods that I've played now.
Textures for armour and weapons are really well-made, however they are painfully lacking normal maps. Making technical art like normal maps is often done by not by artist doing the albedo texture. But somebody needs to do that. I believe original Morrowind engine supported only bump maps, but OpenMW certainly supports them, as well as several other kinds of texture maps that moves graphic on the other level.
As stated in the narration, normal maps for Vurt's texture mods are available courtesy of Superliuk, you can find them as optional downloads on each of the mod pages for Weapons and Armor Retexture and Vanilla Clothes Retexture.
@@MorrowindModdingShowcases hm, I missed that line than. I guess there are consequences for watching the video in cuts during the time when code is compliling! And thanks for reply!
I did rather speed through it, I could've mentioned it a bit more prominently. I tend to record with an MGE XE install, hence why I didn't record footage of the normal maps (that and the production length of this video was already reaching levels of the absurd, with nearly 500gb of raw video footage recorded - it's a lot to process and edit before adding even more clips to the pile).
Ah, did you not get early access to the latest batch of video showcases? Or do you mean the credits section? If the latter, did you fill out the credits submission form? I always try to go by that so as to use everyone's preferred nickname (and to respect those that want to remain anonymous).
Ah yeah, sorry, I probably should've put it in a clearer position, I need to create a new pinned post so people won't miss it. Got it now, it'll appear visually in our March 2024 video on September 7th, (the narration has already been recorded, but we can still work it into the video editing) and audibly in all future longer-length videos starting on September 12th. Sorry about the mix up!
@MorrowindModdingShowcases no problemo. It's my fault. I don't even look at the Patreon for early access or posts, I wait for the youtube release and use the patreon emails to know when they're coming lol
? I haven't made any recent changes to the head packs I have installed, we switched over to majority Westly heads in early 2023? About 160 videos ago. There's still a few installs with MacKom's heads, and that's reflected in the occasional bit of video footage here and there, but most of the last 160 videos use, I believe, Westly's Faces Refurbished by MerchLis.
@@MorrowindModdingShowcases Nonetheless they look amazing. Better then on the mod site. Perhaps because of your graphics. MacKom's heads are most ugly faces ever, even more ugly then vanilla. They all look the same, the same Willem Dafoe face in different variations.

Having said this before, I love playing Morrowind and it just keeps getting better and much of it is due to this Channel and its inspiration to me!
I love morrowind :D
It's my favorite RPG!
Those will make fine additions to my collection, being serious the single fillar that spreads morrowind modding on yt is back.

This is a great showcase as always. It's a bit like watching the "Morrowind Modding News".
Your uploads are a gift unto themselves.
Best channel for the mods!! Especially lore friendly !!
February? It sure snuck up on me this year.

Where can I download the Full Rebirth Game?
Has anyone done an adamantium weapon mod?
Abot is the best @circaCrankgorilla.
Whaaat? Ive been a patreon supporter for over a year :0

lmao the ai voices are better than oblivion fallout 3 acting.
I wish it was still february 🥲
Finally you've changed those popular ugly head pack. These new faces look much better and realistic.
True that. I'm also a huge fan of vanilla core. Everything else I want to modd, but the faces, however, are a nostalgic sentiment.
@@krzysztofschubert-ann5313 Those aren't vanilla.
