There were so many scenes with John B and his father that everything else fell short. Mostly the whole Pogues dynamic. In the fourth season, I want to see more of the whole group, all the Pogues who do something together. That's probably why episode 5 was one of my favorite episodes, because finally the Pogues worked together like they usually do.

If you listen to his other interview today about a Jiara scene from 3x04 where they fight, he talks about how Kie can’t fix anything for JJ, that his problems come from outside of Pogues and he needs to figure that out. And he’s right. By the end of season 3 nothing was fixed for JJ. He’s saying that he has to find himself before starting romance.

Personally, I felt that the moment was a lot more of a "a lot to gain" than "nothing to lose" situation. At least that's how I got it when I was watching. I think Kiara and their potential relationship is actually just the thing that JJ might be seeking as a solution to his fear of 'what will I have left once my friends grow up' and having nothing stable in his life. His love for Kie and a relationship between the two of them is literally the comfort and stability he needs and has been looking for, and that's why this moment is so important. Because even if they all grow up, now there is the possibility that Kie will grow with him, and stay, which is something he never had before. He wouldn't just reveal that he LOVES Kie if it was a whim, nothing to lose, craziness sort of situation, given how difficult love and vulnerabilty, specifically romantic, are for him.

They melt my heart in S3. they brought so many emotions into some scenes, I liked that a lot. And i liked the kiss in season 9. to bad that we didn't see any more romantic scenes after that. I want to see how they work as a couple and see great moments between them in S4. What I don't like is, that in many interviews with the cast, Kie is portrayed as the person who gives strength and support to JJ and falls in love with him. wich is true. But the fact that JJ loves Kie and isn't just be with her because he has nothing else, isn't mentioned at all. I mean they've always had chemistry since S1 and 2, too bad they didn't refer to that.
Big John kinda ruined the season to be honest, so glad he’s gone, I Actually loved Ward being the villain at the end of the day but him saving everyone really showed his true colours, PLEASE focus on more adventure in season 4. Let’s go out with a bang here and make this the best show ever made. Focus on the kids more and what they can do
Big John was soooo annoying!! And we did not get enough of the core group just being them and going on an adventure together. They were so split up this season! I hope we get them back together in the next one. And that we will get more party scenes with them just hanging out, "drinking weed and smoking beer". Like just those moments that we did not get this season really. I think we only really got that moment before the fire. But again, they were split up in each room there. 🤣

Thank you! Ppl do not want to talk about it, and I don't know why. I can't be the only one who thought the relationship dynamic was so off this season. It felt awkward and weird. It lacked the genuine chemistry they once had in season 1 and 2, that made this ship happen. It felt forced.

However, in order to keep things professional between the two and to make sure that their on-screen relationship stays separate from their personal lives, they have to portray a certain demeanor. Rudy Pankow, the actor who plays JJ, has said that he really loves Jiara, but due to random uprisings of slander against his girlfriend, he's trying to keep things limited. Same with the actress, Madison Bailey, who plays Kiara has a girlfriend as well which has also been getting slandered due to the popular coupling of JJ and Kiara. I guess from their personal experiences, it's easier to talk about the ship in a muted way due to popular views of the characters and their lives.

I think Rudy did not want it to happen. Like the entire show JJ was the one character that never dated anyone other than just his little flirty remarks and hook ups, so I feel like it was very out of character for JJ to finally settle. Especially after the fight they had in 3x04, nothing had changed for JJ and his character really needed that personal development and friend more than he needed to actually love her. I hope in the next season, as much as I love the two together, that it either opens to them being more distant than the past relationships in the show, them fighting, or them broken up but still best friends just to get JJ the growth and friendship he needs.
He quite literally says here that choosing to settle with someone he loves even tho he doesn’t have things solved in his personal life, means that he is growing up. Like part of his arc is realizing that not everything else in his life has to be fixed in order to accept love. And most his problems were solved by the finale too😭
@@valentinafangirling I'm not disagreeing here, but considering the fact that they're all in high school and that they are growing up it comes into effect with every character. I believe that most of these kids shouldn't be committing so fiercely. They need to grow up and learn about themselves instead of dealing with these harsh and deep relationships. I hope season four focuses on maturity and emotion rather than the "love" that the characters feel for each other. I do love Jiara though and I'm glad to see the outcome so early, but hopefully we will have many seasons of growth to see them blossom into a healthier and stable couple. As of right now, Sarah, JJ, John B, and Rafe (I personally think, but there could be more) are not fit to be in a relationship as of right now due to their own stories. But, romance does bring the money in and it'll be interesting to see them portray Jiara, Cleopope, and John B + Sarah in future seasons/episodes.
i think taking a step forward to settle with someone is personal development, he's always giving and now that there's someone (and that someone being his best friend) who's trying to "give" him and see through him is something he's afraid of or like not familiar to, so he's trying to keep a distance so that it doesn't hurt if they were to part ways. but as in ep 9 he finally let's kie in which is definitely a development.

I don't like the jiara romantic relationship tbh. I think in the show it feels very one sided like kie has feelings but jj almost feels guilty for not having the same feelings and like Rudy said that he has nothing to lose with this relationship. No the whole point is JJ doesn’t feel good enough. He doesn’t feel worthy of REAL love or a healthy relationship because he’s never seen it. The scene where JJ comes to save Kiara is my favorite scene in this season. I loved the fact that they had their moment.

something def happened between rudy and madison, they are distant now. dont look or talk to each other. even in one clip taken by fans filming the last episode carlicia jd, madelyn and chase, all held hands but madison walked behind rudy and it looked like he tried to hold her hand or something but she denied and he got frustrated im not sure, i seen it once vaguely on tiktok and now i cant find it but thats all i remember. maybe im over thinking but they both have girlfriends so that might be it.

Thank you! Ppl do not want to talk about it, and I don't know why. I can't be the only one who thought the relationship dynamic was so off this season. It felt awkward and weird. It lacked the genuine chemistry they once had in season 1 and 2, that made this ship happen. It felt forced.

I feel Rudy. we can clearly see he’s uncomfortable talking about this, maybe even interviews in general i’m not quite sure, and jiara is something to DIE for but i get his side and how uncomfortable that can be to have to verbally talk about it
Seriously, how awkward and difficult must it be for Rudy, and his girlfriend? Like everyone was hating on her because they shiped JJ/Kie, but also Rudy and his costsar... And now that it's better/over, he has to actually kiss his costar for the show, in front of his girlfriend as she works on the set... I would fear for the hate to start all over, if I was Rudy, and yes, I would keep a healthy distance. I don't know how his girlfriend manages to go through all that, but I wouldn't find it easy personnaly. She must really love him, and vice versa ❤️

@@Darja-tz2ks Nothing happened at all between the two of them. Their relationship is really good and they have a good friendship. However, in order to keep things professional between the two and to make sure that their on-screen relationship stays separate from their personal lives, they have to portray a certain demeanor. Rudy Pankow, the actor who plays JJ, has said that he really loves Jiara, but due to random uprisings of slander against his girlfriend, he's trying to keep things limited. Same with the actress, Madison Bailey, who plays Kiara has a girlfriend as well which has also been getting slandered due to the popular coupling of JJ and Kiara. I guess from their personal experiences, it's easier to talk about the ship in a muted way due to popular views of the characters and their lives.

I think Rudy did not want it to happen. Like the entire show JJ was the one character that never dated anyone other than just his little flirty remarks and hook ups, so I feel like it was very out of character for JJ to finally settle. Especially after the fight they had in 3x04, nothing had changed for JJ and his character really needed that personal development and friend more than he needed to actually love her. I hope in the next season, as much as I love the two together, that it either opens to them being more distant than the past relationships in the show, them fighting, or them broken up but still best friends just to get JJ the growth and friendship he needs.

He quite literally says here that choosing to settle with someone he loves even tho he doesn’t have things solved in his personal life, means that he is growing up. Like part of his arc is realizing that not everything else in his life has to be fixed in order to accept love. And most his problems were solved by the finale too😭
@@valentinafangirling I'm not disagreeing here, but considering the fact that they're all in high school and that they are growing up it comes into effect with every character. I believe that most of these kids shouldn't be committing so fiercely. They need to grow up and learn about themselves instead of dealing with these harsh and deep relationships. I hope season four focuses on maturity and emotion rather than the "love" that the characters feel for each other. I do love Jiara though and I'm glad to see the outcome so early, but hopefully we will have many seasons of growth to see them blossom into a healthier and stable couple. As of right now, Sarah, JJ, John B, and Rafe (I personally think, but there could be more) are not fit to be in a relationship as of right now due to their own stories.
But, romance does bring the money in and it'll be interesting to see them portray Jiara, Cleopope, and John B + Sarah in future seasons/episodes.
i think taking a step forward to settle with someone is personal development, he's always giving and now that there's someone (and that someone being his best friend) who's trying to "give" him and see through him is something he's afraid of or like not familiar to, so he's trying to keep a distance so that it doesn't hurt if they were to part ways. but as in ep 9 he finally let's kie in which is definitely a development.

I don't like the jiara romantic relationship tbh. I think in the show it feels very one sided like kie has feelings but jj almost feels guilty for not having the same feelings and like Rudy said that he has nothing to lose with this relationship. I think it would be interesting to see the show play into that more. idk the whole thing feels very forced to me.
No the whole point is JJ doesn’t feel good enough. He doesn’t feel worthy of REAL love or a healthy relationship because he’s never seen it. He didn’t grow up with two parents and had an abusive father. He’s scared to love and he’s scared to be vulnerable. That is going to be apart of his journey. Kiara wants to show him the healthy sides of love.

this kiss scene was awful, as were all of their scenes. there is ZERO chemistry between these characters. no build up and the romance aspect came out of nowhere. this show was ruined by jiara becoming canonical when jjpope and lesbian kie were lined up. a huge missed opportunity for a more interesting coming of age story, these writers should be ashamed forcing this relationship that flopped horribly. the lack of lgbt rep in this show is appalling. there shouldn't even be a fourth season.
