      He did say that and I agree with him. Almost criminal that Clarence Campbell did not allow Bobby Hull to play in the Summit Series.

      Definitely they were Canada's two best players but if Hull had played then Henderson probably would not have. Henderson scored the game winners in games 6, 7 and 8. So it seems strange to say, but maybe Canada was better off not having Hull play.

      @@stumarston6812 Interesting perspective and yes Paul was the magic man. Although I wonder how Tretiak would have dealt with Hull's cannon with the piddly protection the goalie's had back then. I remember when the Jets beat that same Russian team in '76 Hull played that game like a man possessed!

    Bobby Hull is still one of the top 5 hockey players in history. Additionally, Bobby's toupee is THE GREATEST HAIR PIECE IN THE HISTORY OF SPORTS!

      Who are the 4 ahead of Hull??? This should be fun! The ONLY player better than Hull was Orr, and not by much either. Gordie Howe was up there too of course. Gretzky was the BEST at .....RINGETTE! (DON'T HIT ME). HE WAS PROTECTED BY THE REFS/NHL and why his stats were inflated.

      How so? Why was he ignorant? He loved Canada and was outspoken about it. He was passionate about the love of his country and implored immigrants to share that passion of love. For them to embrace the concept of being a fellow citizen.......a fellow brother or sister.

      HNIC and Sportsnet are garbage ! They would hire my wife for there hockey show before me ! I grew up watching hockey in the 70s and could name 90% of the players in the NHL ! My wife grew up in Ecuador and came to Canada in 1976 ! That tells you everything you need to know !

    The Golden Jet. He destroyed the Flyers single handedly in 1971 Stanley Cup and in Game 3 and 4 at the Spectrum in Philly. A sign that night. Bobby... Go to Hull.

    I watched him in Chicago stadium from 1962 to 1970, and he was awesome. His speed, especially considering the skates at that time, I feel would be unsurpassed today, and remember he was strong! As even Gordie Howe said, Bobby was very hard to knock off the puck. I remember him busting the plexiglas with a wood stick.

      He is LOSING it a bit bcuz of age and BEERS, but he was THE BEST at his 'HNIC game' than anyone else! I've watched since the early 1960s! Ward Cornell, Frank Selke Jr., Dan Kelly, Dick Irvin Jr., Danny Gallivan, etc!

      I thought most of the shows were taped at Don’s bar in Mississauga.I saw Bobby Orr at the Grapevine.

      @@Perry-o9b I knew Jimmy Loftus, the bartender on Grapevine! He drank at McGirrs on Richmond/Church st, Toronto, just a 1/2 blk from the Windsor Tavern, and across the alley from City TV. I worked at McGirrs in 1982, and they shot Grapevine in Hamilton Ontario.

      @@mr.blackhawk142 I took my Dad to see Bobby Orr and Scotty Bowman at Don Cherry’s at Square One in the eighties.Scotty Bowman cancelled so they filled in with Ron Joyce,one of the original Tim Horton’s executives.Don was over the moon with Bobby but Mr.Joyce was very interesting talking about Tim Horton and the NHL.We sat close to a small stage Don was talking from with the guests.My Dad was a bit hard of hearing from years on the line at Ford.At one moment Don turned to us and shushed us during the Orr interview.Then at a break Bobby popped by our table and chuckled and said Grapes gets wound up when I’m here,don’t worry about it.❤️👍🏼

    Id like to add a little off topic.People talking about more goals,I been saying for years dont let the penalized team ice the puck make them bring it out there own end.Making the nets bigger etc. Is just a dumb idea.
