I finally got hold of one of these and the main reason was it reminded me of my F3 back in the day. I have been a Canon shooter for the last 39 years a very long time and this is the first Nikon in a long time that has brought me back to a Nikon again.
That’s crazy to know that you prefer to work by yourself, no second photographer. Same here, I like to work by myself as well, 90% of the weddings I capture myself.
THANK YOU for finally explaining why my RAW files were always underexposed. I had D-lighting on because I also like the way jpegs and previews looked but had no idea it was the reason why all my raws looked underexposed. You've changed my life
27:00 i usually have my d-lighting set to low, and camera profile (or whatever it's called) set to +1 on the contrast. that way things clip on my back screen before they actually do in camera, keeps me extra safe, lol.
I had a similar blackout issue with my Z6 II where I was getting bad blackout and life 50% framerates. I tried every setting and couldn't get it resolved until I did a factory reset on the camera and both problems instantly vanished.
Hi, are you happy about the quality of the EVF? I strangely find it less accurate and more contrasty that the z6II one although they have the same spec on the list.
The IBIS is really good and seems to take any camera shake away (when I'm also walking). I haven't had any problems, but if you're more comfortable at 1/250 that's totally fine. I think 125 freezes the motion of them walking fine, at least for me
You’ve always advocated for longer lenses for ceremonies like the 35mm to 150 and before that the 70-200mm. Are you getting more comfortable getting closer to your couples? 😀 I ask selfishly and because I’m curious. I’ve been trying to figure out if I should get a longer lens for the ceremony or if I’m good using my 85mm.
Hey @Taylor Maybe you can't answer this, but do you ask the couple if you can sell their images to a venue? I guess the detail shots you have full control over?
So you just hand them over if they want, sorry if I dont quite get it. English is not my native language. Or you only use them for your own portfolio and show it to a new venue or floorist? @@TaylorJacksonPhoto
I noticed that even tho my AF box was on the eye or face, the actual focus when reviewing in lightroom most of the time ended up on something in the foreground (the bouquet, boutonniere, microphone, etc) I don't see anyone talking about this. Did you run into this actually reviewing the images?
I’m dealing with this too. I could be crazy, but my focus was spot on before the newest firmware update and now Even though the focus box might be over an eye, what is in focus could be something else nearby. My shutter release button is set to shutter/AF On. Would you suggest setting to just AF/on and use the AE/AFL button for focus?
I don’t think I have it set to anything. Or at least I don’t use it. Trying to think what I could repurpose it as, but i don’t think I’m missing anything. Maybe iso for video?

Hah it took me a while to figure out.
I'm halfway through this video. Don't ever plan to photograph a wedding - but my gosh, you are giving me such useful information! Thank you!!!

This is smart
Love it!!❤

Thank you Taylor, REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR VIDEOS
🙏🙏🙏
Thanks for watching!
This ZF must be bought in _"Black"_ its looks so good
Overpriced of course but cool
Green and the tan are nice as well. And i would say that it’s under priced in North America at least
1/125 fast enough for walking photos?
I swear I have to go 250 at a minimum to fight motion blur.

How do you record these videos through the EVF? Is that with the Ninja Atmos 5?

Haha I mostly just really like the Z 24-70 2.8
@@TaylorJacksonPhoto cool thanks for replying.

I typically don’t sell any images to vendors involved. But I do have ownership and sign off on everything

Were you on AFC or AFS?
@@TaylorJacksonPhoto AFC 3d or wide
@robbie154 weird. Haven’t had any problems. Is your release set to focus or press? I think I’m on press and haven’t had any issues

Hey Taylor i thought you had a second channel? I cant find it!!! Btw love this video, trying to sell a z6ii and pick up a zf

@@TaylorJacksonPhotoI thought I saw this video before 😂
