Love this! Even though my kids are just starting school this resonates with me cos I spent those last 2 yrs of school stressed about exams. I don't want my kids to go through that. There are so many alternative entry pathways to higher education these days that theres really no reason to put your child through that ❤️

Good luck! What a journey. This is our last year homeschooling too and it's bittersweet. My kids are entering the public school system for high school. It just is what is going to work best right now for our kids. I absolutely love your view of homeschooling. If I had more neighbors that homeschooled like you we may be a different boat, but the homeschooling resources in our community after covid just aren't enough for it to be a sustainable route for us, at least for now!
@@TheHomeschoolSweetSpot thank you. It's a hard transition for all of us! This is my last week homeschooling and I'm so sad but also happy. Very mixed emotions. I really hope public school works out but if not at least I know how to homeschool! 😁 My daughter Izzie says public education is useless. My daughter Maddie told her, "we'll have our own secret agenda. We are really there just to learn how to be around lots of people and work in a classroom." They both are college bound (as of now) so Maddie wants to use high school so college won't be scary. I think she's actually looking forward to having a bit more structure. She loves order and routine.
@@TheHomeschoolSweetSpot we are wrapping up 8th grade this week and about to start summer here in the Pacific Northwest US. Next school year starts Aug 31st. When are Australian schools in session?
@@TheNeurospicyMama I wasn't sure if it was July or August for you. We are only halfway through our 2nd term of the year. Our year ends very early December until very early Feb (summer break)... we have longer breaks throughout the year than the US typically does and our school years are two weeks longer at 40 weeks. Not quite sure why though
No generally not. With the economy, the way it is I respect we will have (adult) kids with us for some time yet. They also don't leave even for Uni, most generally, but of course that is dependent on each family
We're just beginning the 9th grade journey. I'm looking forward to it so this type of video is encouraging. Glad I found your channel.
Welcome to home ed! I'm glad it was helpful :-)
Love your approach... this is truly inspiring.. better late than never! Love that... your year will be great! ❤️
thank you for watching!

We've all got to do what's right for us and our families. I wish your girls every success at school. You're doing such a great job x

@@TheNeurospicyMama Sounds like you've got a solid plan in place. When does school start back for the new year?

I love your way of doing high school!!!
It really can be fun and stress free!
Thank you needed this as we come closer to miss 15 going on to senior years
You got this!
Is it customary for your children ,once graduated to leave the home? Curious if they want to go to a trade school or to work,do they still leave
