Forgetthe fact that he is just a kid, amazing for any age. I have practiced for more years then he has been alive and do not have the mastery of the pick that he displays. Hope to see him on the big stage someday.
It's in RU, they do. If you watch the crowd, they're listening like it's a classical music concert, not a peep or movement out of them, precisely because they *do* recognise it and accord it the respect it deserves.
The most proficient 11 year old guitar player in the history of ever!!!!!!! Whoever his guitar teacher is.... must be a spectacular teacher. Big thumbs up.
He's got those limber, double-jointed fingers like Shawn Lane had. AND a very reminiscent left hand shape. 5 year old vid... wonder if he's homeless now. haha it's like all these promising kids you never hear about them later. Hope he's kicking out some amazing stuff because his physical ability is amazing.
Who taught him...that is the question? Because this is jaw droping skill for an adult, let alone a child. I don't even know how this is possible. He has a level of motor memory and effortless precision that would usually require at least 15 years of practice 5 + hours a day. There needs to be some kind of explanation to clarify how it is he got this bewilderingly good so young. It is an astonishing display of preternatural talent. He should have his brain scanned and be studied! I'd hazard a guess he was born with certain mental and physical attributes that were a recipe for guitar brilliance. He is literally a child genius.
apparently he learned himself with the help of his father. who is a gymnast and a gymnast teacher. the guy has taught the boy how to practice a physical skill correctly and how to do everything without any tension. which causes problems to everyone else, sometimes even without knowledge that some muscle is causing tension somewhere.
I'll wager my house on one thing: He didn't sit in a room with an album and a cheap guitar and learn that by ear. Time marches on and lessons, vids, tablature, money... just like how 75 years ago, there were no electric guitars. What blew my mind (if that wasn't finger synced) is how he plays this 6 note scale pattern while he's not even looking and he's giving you that grin like "yeah, I'm bad". ? Pretty amazing.
After hearing him talk, I wouldn't be surprised if you are wrong about the first part. He plays Paul Gilbert's Get out of my yard riff, THE HARD WAY. Not tapping it.
@@Harmonic14 Yea but there was a video of some asian dude playing it tapped with the three E strings Also, it's pretty legendary to see Anton play Get Out of My Yard on a six string (I'm trying to do it too. I am practicing)
I'm currently learning the song scarified.. ~_~ but after watching this kid, I feel like i wanna learn the other one too ! (let the computer decide) This kid is a monster !! Props to the bass player too! They both did an excellent job on the songs ! Paul would be proud!
socialdef3 Do you acknowledge the fact that he's 11 years old here? And that he was doing a cover song(not an improv or an original that would fully allow him to demonstrate his originality and own unique "feel" for the guitar)? Geez, why don't you go watch some of his original stuff if you want to use that argument, you damn dip.
if you don't watch the video, and let it play, it's almost like listening to Paul play. my god. the only thing missing is the random "Yeah!" Paul does every now and again O.O
@@joshk7286 Paul Gilbert mostly played finger exercises extremely fast. I wasn't until much, much later that he actually stopped trying to play ALL the notes in every song and started to get really good at making music. Most people you see playing covers of this are doing it in a studio and usually stopping the camera every time they screw up. This kid is playing this stuff live in front of an audience.
No doubt he's a genius. There are propably very few who can be so masterful at such age. But lets just hope it's not his peak(although this is enough to be great) and that he will expand his skills, knowledge, become more mature(start playing fusion, Morse, Shawn Lane, Becker stuff etc). As the saying goes - such people are interesting only when they are young, sadly. I hope that this is not his peak - he's worth more than this. Let's see what will become of him in his 20s. Best of luck to him.
Hate to break it to you, he is Russian (which is a Euroasian continent), and since only a very small portion of Russia is considered European, and most is considered Asian, (including the capitol, which makes it Asian under all intensive purposes) this kid is more than likely defined as Asian. So effectively, China and Russia are from the same continent, which Europe is not a part of. Hate to be that guy, but... what can ya do? :/
The European part of Russia is an area of about 3.5 million km2 (20.66 % of the territory of Russia and about 35 % of the territory of the whole of Europe) and is 7.2 times larger than France, as well as much larger than any other European state. Good luck.
That's exactly right. And his pitch bends. The start time, finish time, and amount of pitch is perfect on every one, even where it's one of those long bends with multiple hold pitches. It's just incredible. So many youtube guitarists that have comment sections full of over-the-top praise fail (some miserably) at those things.
Man that was unbelievable........... God has given some amazing talent. You gotta real ear for the picking and right hand rhythm side of scarified...... very few ppl do that. AWESOME!
when i saw the title (11 year old plays paul gilbert) i was like. YA RIGHT OK SURE. this is the most impressive 11 year old i've seen. literally, mouth open. eyes wide. i'm bowing man. you better be famous when your older or i'll be seriously dissapointed. wow i've never heard a more perfect cover in my life. if your vibrato wasn't slightly different than paul gilberts, i'd think it was fake
This kid is a guitar god at 11 your the man dude never stop playing hopefully ill have the privledge of seeing u live in a couple years i couldnt imagine ur skill then
his picking is insanely clean!
Noticed that too, his picking is just ridiculously accurate.
@adam b Yeah because he is so sick.
hello jason becker fan
considering his age, this is the most amazing display of human talent in the history of human talent

Валентин! Немного усилий,терпения и тренировки! И через 150 лет появится результат. )))
интересно ,а он когда нибудь не умел играть на гитаре?))
да бред,играй в день хотя бы по 5 часов по построенной программе и будет еще лучше)

Paul Gilbert was inventing these licks in his early mid teens, and by 17 was one of the most technically accomplished guitarists on the planet.
