Anto RetroGamer Plays: Doraemon Nora no Suke no Yabou (ドラえもんノラのすけの野望), a Japanese-exclusive for the SEGA Game Gear. This is a 'Perfect' playthrough of Doraemon Nora no Suke no Yabou, which means completing the game without taking any damage, AND collecting all five pancakes (dorayaki) in each sub-stage. This playthrough is divided into four videos for each stage, featuring three unique sub-stages and a boss fight at the end.
Doraemon Nora no Suke no Yabou is a simple platformer game, but there are several items to make your task easier. Collecting all five dorayaki as mentioned earlier, results in a 'Perfect', which awards you a bell (extra life). Invincibility is relatively rare, but last a very short period of time. Finally, a number of weapons can also be found, varying from close-range to projectile. The latter can either kill or stun enemies, but an additional benefit of these is to tank a hit. Doing so will also lose your weapon, but it's a useful sacrifice, as Doraemon usually dies from one hit. Just be aware that any weapons obtained cannot be carried over to the next stage.
Doraemon Nora no Suke no Yabou - Stage 1. Not much to say, as it's a very easy stage. Farming for extra lives should be a top priority here, so take your time looking for dorayaki and bells. Every sub-stage is different in this game, as are the enemies for the most part, so be wary of this. Your biggest threat is likely the bats in Stage 1-2, as they tend to be in tight spaces.

BOSS: Really easy first boss. Just stand in the middle of the screen, and wait for it to swoop down twice from each side. After which, it will scroll down and across the screen to the other side, to repeat the pattern. Just be aware that it is a one-hit kill for Doraemon.

Yeah! I think Stage 3 is my personal favourite of the bunch. That's coming next Tuesday. It's a simple but fun little game to play, if like me, that is exactly what you are looking for.
