I'd watched 'Turbo Kid' before I discovered 'Stranger Things' but wow they are both amazing and the 'Turbo Kid' soundtrack is absolutely out of this world!
lol What 80s aesthetics ? This has literally NOTHING to do with the 80s. It's just how the depressed GenZ-GenA imagines the 80s. I was there, and I can assure you that life in general had a completely different tone, and 99,99% of movies weren't "cyberpunk", "post-apocalyptical" or "dystopian", and the aesthetics were completely different... In fact, the 80s felt very "natural" and simple. It's crazy how youngsters have a completely distorted view of the past. As a REAL 80s kid, I don't feel anything for this stupid trend which is butchering the 80s.
Some of these little known composers really can blow you away with their raw talent, especially when you consider this was made on a shoestring budget.

Holy shit HOLY SHIT I just watched this movie and was losing my marbles because I'd HEARD this soundtrack already so many times - at least bits of it like at 2:50 and 16:30 and had NO idea the music came from a movie (I think it was a random 80s style compilation like so many of them on YT these days). Very happy to know the origin now.

I loved this movie! I'm 27 but honestly with today's generation I would call this maybe PG13. There wasn't a whole lot of F bombs and all the gore was presented in a silly way. Plus the morals were good for kids too. I'd way recommend this over Spiderman or Xmen.

Kung Fury was just a silly joke movie that parodies bad 80s movies. Turbo kid is a real story with heart and soul, but heavily inspired by the 80s.
