Update: I posted a year ago about my struggles with PTSD stemming from military combat and sexual trauma (yes I am a male, and men still experience sexual trauma). I now have a PTSD service dog that is specifically trained for veterans! My dog has helped me so very much! At times, I still wonder How long O Lord, but it is all in His hands!
My grandpa just got his service dog for PTSD from Vietnam. The family has really noticed a positive change in him! God bless you! Have a great New year!

I am a hospice chaplain, and this is the heart cry of many of my patients and their families, How long oh Lord? but this song says so perfectly that God will restore if we trust. His grace is our song. Thank you for this lovely reminder of God's presence in our suffering.

I listen to this song every day. I am suffering from several serious health issues and financial problems, which have led to severe anxiety and depression crises. My daily prayer has been this and Psalm 25. Thank you for your music. May God continue to be exalted through it and may He continue to bless many people, as He has blessed me.
Wow! That is all I can say…I don’t know what I expected when I clicked to hear this song,..But it is powerful! The pain is so real (for so many people) and I don’t have words so often but to say “how long oh lord”… Choosing to trust is hard…right, but so hard some days. Those days when you don’t see hope and you cling to faith and long for the day when faith gives way to sight. There are days you don’t want to keep going and pushing/fighting/telling/etc, but you keep moving in faith, walking through the heartache and wiping the tears…That is me tonight. This song has reminded me of what I know and don’t want to know…the “how long” is not for me to decide. This is for the Lord to determine and for me to trust…that’s the hard part. Thank you!

My friends and I had a good discussion on how many of the top 25 songs doesn't reflect a lot of the Psalms themes: such as social justice or even songs of asking God "where are you?" And unfortunately these are questions that many Christians are asking.
