Me and and my brother used to play this game all the time after school. After he graduated and moved i never touched the game again as i couldn't play alone. Eventually while cleaning the attic, i found his old xbox 360. I booted up minecraft and hopped onto the world simply titled "me and bro" the last thing we ever did was fight the ender dragon one last time before he left. Our house was built ontop a snowy mountain viewing a village rebuilt with massive houses. Just as the sun came down this song started playing. There was one sign left that just said "thanks for the help and memories little bro, love ya" i have never cried harder over a video game ever. 2 years later my toddler brother got old enough to hold the remote and play. We continued on the world and i couldnt help but think "Im carrying on a torch left behind". I cant wait till you return home from college again so you can see what i have done. Love ya adam
It’s 2020. I just graduated junior year. My entire second semester is canceled due to the corona virus quarantine. Day by day I sit in my home getting older, losing perception of time. Just yesterday I was 10 years old playing Minecraft on my ps3, and everything was perfect. Now, at 4 am on a Thursday morning I’m listening to this music, wondering when I will place my last block, mine my last diamond, trade my last emerald, eat my last apple, enchant my last sword, throw my last ender pearl, open my last chest, and craft my last tool. This game is legendary. It shouldn’t ever be forgotten, stolen, or recreated a new. It is more than perfect, it is beautiful.
I remember playing in the tutorial world and they had the castle and the logo on top. So I burned the logo down and remember listening to this as the fire was running and looking back I was so sad and happy at the same time. I still have the world and just gives me the smile C:
i had minecraft on nintendo but to a break cuz i forgor, i watched a lot of minecraft videos 3 months ago and decided to play again, it brings so much joy playing my favorite game again
Just think... Your save files are waiting out there, frozen in time... The adventures, experiences and oh the grinds.. Building your house's, the beginning is always a fight The fear of dying, without a sword to use in the night.. These worlds are now a memory, something we've left behind... But we can rest easy, sit down and unwind.. Because in the end we've come so far, the peaceful tranquility set the bar.. The world was a place of zen, yet so fragile like a dove But we must leave it behind forever as a place we know and love. ✌🏼This music got me attempting damn poetry Hahha
+Zac Christensen Ugh, reading this comment I almost got some tear. But no, I remember my first world on xbox. Played with my family and everything, untill creative mode came out, a friend came over. And we built stuff and did random junk, we blew up all these things, I wish I could undo what I did, but it's too late now.
As a wise man onces said: We played, we tried We laughed, we cried We succeeded, we died We respawned and thrived From the zombies, to the endermen From the skeletons, to the pigmen From the spiders and creepers And from those annoying griefers From the biomes of jungles to sands To the mushrooms and other obscure lands From the snow and ice To the swamps which never looked too nice From moments with friends we’ll cherish From a time we hoped Herobrine would perish From the great animations To the UA-cam sensations Along with those musical incantations I thank Mojang for creating my childhood Much better than just ‘good’ I think I speak for everyone here When I say this is not game of the year It’s the game of the century As it offered us with plenty And these memories will never leave Just like the thought of first playing as Steve So I say close your eyes And listen to the music with surprise As your memories of Minecraft were once apart But now can be fixed like a broken heart In order to find your memories core You must go back to the world of Minecraft once more And defeat the Ender Dragon one last time As the sweet sounds of your childhood begin to chime One last thing, for me to say Which would be, have a nice day Also for you to never forget this game Nor the journey that came As a part of that journey was the end Quite literally, not pretend Just like this poem, which I hope you have all read As I would love it if this poem and this game is remembered once I’m dead.
no one will probably read this, but its okay, i just need somewhere to write this out. For some reason this song stuck with me all these years, and it always makes me cry. I grew up the youngest and only sister of two other brothers, both of which i grew up being super close to, my second oldest especially. He and I made a minecraft world together, and he was the first person to teach me how to play. I never thought a game about blocks could mean so damn much to me. Alex and i made and played this world 24/7, and we built our very first house, still burned in my memory. This was on our xbox 360 and i can still remember vividly what we built and how the world looked, every small detail still clear as ever. As we grew older, we slowly grew apart, slowly played less, and slowly started forgetting the memories. Though we maintained a good relationship, we stopped talking as much as we used to, and my parents gave away our 360 since it had become unused. I will never see that world again, and i was too young to write down the seed, but the memories this song brings to me will never be forgotten. I didnt think a game about blocks could make me cry this hard. When i was little all i wanted was to grow up, but now, i just want to be 8 years old again, playing my minecraft world with my brother, and just building whatever comes to mind. This is still his favorite game. I wonder if he thinks about the memories like i do too.
My name is not Alex, but the nostalgia still hits hard. I wish I could go back to running home after school to be the first one on the Minecraft server, and staying up all night, grinding and building while the Minecraft music played in the background. I remember dying, countlessly and telling myself that I would never play the game again, but it still stuck with me.
My first memory of this song... It was either release 1.1 or 1.2 and I was just roaming a big mountain range and watching all the waterfalls. *Yes, I still like the game today. Everyone has firsts, though.*
I played in 1.0 tho :( I got the game when I was like 8-7 and I'm pretty sure my dad was waiting for the full release on the computer since I started playing on the VERY early iPad game, before survival mode.
This song is my nostalgia song, it's the song that tells you "Everything is okay, you've come a long way and look at how far you've come, look at the memories you've made and how much things have changed, and you know what? That's okay"
This song to me is like when my old friend suddenly stopped going to school and idk why but she most likely moved away. The saddest part is that she didnt even tell me beforehand so I was all alone
@@Пользователь0high school kid here! I loved minecraft as a toddler and still love it now. Has a very special place in my heart, C418 did a beautiful job ❤
Ahhh... The memories of the old Minecraft... Every time I listen to C418... A memory for each song... So relaxing.. So peaceful... From first logging on to my first server to my first diamonds... I remember not knowing how to craft a stick... Or even push the w button to walk forward.... The days when I was a noob.... We all wish we could go back... We all can't... There is a new Minecraft out there, and new memories to make....
I am 13, and i still cry when hearing this. I remember playing on my xbox 360 when i was younger. I know i will never truly understand the nostalgia other people get from this, playing with your friends, but I had a brother. We played all the time, watching stampy, danTDM, listening to minecraft remixes, and so much more. A distinct memory is wanting to be in the love garden so badly. And then… We grew up. I may still be young, but this will always resonate within me. My brother is now 17 and we don’t really get along. Whenever i listen to this.. A tear falls. I reminisce of the days when it was raining outside, and me and my brother would beg our parents for the batteries (they took the batteries out of the controllers so we couldn’t play all night) and we made our own batteries with pennies and other things. Our parents were just suprised that we were capable of doing this, so they let us play. The days where my dad got off work early and we watched phineas and ferb untill mom got home. One time i was crying listening to this music. My father recognised it and said „Hey, don’t be sad it’s over, be glad it happened,“ I now cry because I remember how great it was, and that at one point THESE will be the good ol’ days. In the meantime, i’ll be over here, landing mice on venus.
First night First fight First flight First night Cave noise Scared poise Last choice First night A zombies growl gives despair There are arrows flying everywhere Purple particles fill the air First night

2:07-2:19 This little squence of notes, followed by a dissonant chord, and then finally resolving is probably the most nostalgic part of the song for me. It encompases the feel of nostalgia. The buildup to the chord is when you are "making" the nostalgic memories (ex. playing minecraft with your friends in 2014). The dissonant part is the bitter part of nostalgia, wanting to go back and relive it. And finally the resolution is the happiness you get from nostalgia. Remembering all of the fun times you had while playing this amazing game. Thanks for reading!
For me it’s like 2014-2018 when I was old enough to be able to play the game with minimal restriction from my parents but young enough to still have been a kid
Hello, 12 year old here. When I was in 1st grade I got Minecraft pocket edition. I remember not using any tutorials, just running around the Taiga biome aimlessly. When it got dark, I remember I saw a zombie and then a creeper, and then 3 spiders. I panicked and started to make a 5 by 3 house. As I made my shitty dirt and log "house" (I still cringe to this day that I didn't know how to make wooden planks), the spiders climbed up the house and killed me. After word, I wanted to be better at Minecraft, and ever since almost 6 years ago, I did just that, a long with making new friends to play the game with (love ya JrAlan Flyshark and Sprtle :>), graduated elementary, learned to ride a bike, learned to draw, found new games (FF7 and Persona 5 my beloved :D), and how to manage my mental health. But with all the great things, I had to leave behind things too. I lost my first Minecraft worlds, the first one, the one where I learned that you need a saddle to tame a horse, the emerald diamond and gold house (am I the only one that did that as a kid), multiple, as I called it, "underground mansions", and the one I miss the most, the one I introduced my little brother to. I desperately want to go back to when nothing really mattered. Thank you Minecraft, you will forever be a part of my childhood that I'll never forget and to the person reading this, I hope your day goes great and you will have a successful life ❤
oh look it's another 12 years old! i remember playing on my phone that use to be my dad's phone and i loved playing minecraft pocket edition on it and i remember my world winch i did loads of strange houses, putting loads of mobs here and there around the house, making builds like a weird treehouse, a cobblestone prison with all kinds of mobs like creepers or some custom angry birds related builds or levels. i remember the world having literally all of my builds getting erased from existence while i was trying to build a huge red bird from angry birds after my counsin left the world while he was checking it out, i actually never had a single emotion at that moment i was just like "huh weird... oh well" . minecraft is a game that i don't wanna stop playing, i'll be a minecraft fan until my last breath! -another random 12 year old who wanted to say hi
@@EduardoFerreira-yi4qc I remember another world, I let in a creeper into my base, my friend convinced me he was a creeper, the creeper blew up my house :(. -random 12 year old with nothing better to do than chat with a stranger on the internet :D
oh god don't make me realize how old I am, but I remember when I was 11 and my first world was on Beta 1.6.2 or 1.6.5, my dirt hut with underground bed was next to a forest between two small mountains and I could hear zombies through the moutain cliff's wall. I was so scared of creepers in that forest that I stopped playing there and made a new world lmao. I stil remember when they updated the cobblestone and I disliked it at first. Now I have a continuous world since 2019 with many backups and several older 2016-2018 worlds but yeah, it's nice to save old worlds somewhere
Molly Portfolio No, you see: The -to me at the time- overwhelming immersion of Minecraft, in addition to this melancholy-inducing soundtrack led me to reconsider my life.
"No matter how ridiculous the odds may seem, within us resides the power to overcome thosee odds, and achieve something beautiful. And one day, we'll look back at where we started, and be amazed by how far we've come." Rest in peace, king. You've come so far.
“I think Skyblock at its core is the ultimate challenge in resource management. You spawn on a tiny island in an empty universe. All you have is a tree, some supplies, and some dirt to stand on. You have to treasure EVERY dirt block, because if one falls into the void, there's no way to replace it and as you carefully navigate your absurd circumstance, you gain a new appreciation for the few things you have as you meticulously use them to their fullest effect. With nothing but some ice, lava, and saplings you slowly transform this empty expanse into a world of your very own. Skyblock teaches us that no matter how ridiculous the odds may seem, within us resides the power to overcome these challenges and achieve something beautiful. That one day, we'll look back at where we started and be amazed by how far we've come.” -Technoblade
Yeah But I like to think of this optimistically It's just like saying goodbye but than the tune reminds you that life isn't over and you can do more Even better than your childhood

Everyday, there will always be a stranger, scrolling through c418's music list, listen to them over and over again, and feel the memories flushing back. If you did come back to listen to this masterpiece, consider leaving a comment here, so that this legend will never be forgotten.
Back when it all started, when we were all steves on our ps3, xbox or on our mom or dads pc, when we would all get lost in the tutorial worlds castle we would enjoy the game, but now we are all grownup and want to say Minecraft is our favorite game but we don’t really play anymore. We all wish we could be young again and re live the game, but this time we would do it better, this time we will build that castle that we said that we would.
The second half is, for me, the most nostalgia inducing peice of music ever. It brings me back to years ago when minecraft let's plays reigned supreme. When I listen to it, I can see stampy and Lee bear messing around on an x-box world. Those were to golden days.
This one always made me cry, and it still does. I don't know why, but it does. Like Subwoofer Lullaby. They sound so sad, they sound like they have such deep meaning(Which they do), they give us memories of the past, reminding us of what we've done with ourselves, how much we've grown, our sad memories, and our happy memories. All come flowing back to us with *1* song. Unbelievable, isn't it? We've come so far, we've changed a lot, but we all eventually come back to this 1 game, this 1 song. I used to wonder 'Why the second half of the song? It's just useless anyways. The first half is way better.' But now I realize, the first part of the song is to show that it sure can be an emotional game, but the second half is to remind us that joy comes after grief. Your dog, still waiting for you from your first world back in 2013, still waiting for you to come back. Thank you, C418, for creating my childhood. You played a huge key in it, and will continue to do so. Thank you. You will be remembered, C418 :)

I'll get Minecraft and we can play together *beginning of summer* Dad: hey kids. My job branch shut down so we have to move. Me: OK, I can still play with Gabe, right? Dad, lying as we are moving to Baltimore: yeah I only saw Gabe for 2 hours a few years later. Never seen him since. I have evolved into a major Minecraft player. I hope to see him once again. I miss you, Gabe.
I know the first part of this as the "I'm living with friends and we're helping each other before going to bed for the night" song and the second part as the "empty castle" song.

1:50 immediate goosebumps all over. My love for this soundtrack. I started playing minecraft back in 2012 on the Xbox 360 when it first came out there and I've loved the game ever since. Building random stuff with my friends, hell even building a city. C418, Daniel, you could not have been a better pick to make this soundtrack. Thank you for putting this in everyone's lives, and giving them something to reminisce
I remember the days... I just threw potions at zombies played around with witches... build (sucked at it) just had fun in single player world's and hear this music... this music... you can almost hear the poor music trying an we weep the whole day crying. this music is telling us to go back to those days no one understands the feeling of just creating a world and clicking "create world" non-gamers think we are weird they just dont know the feeling that this music gives off maybe someday they will know. this music is just telling us to not complain but go back go back to those OLD versions go back to when this music was special go back to those versions .. since Minecraft has changed so much maybe going back. will feel like the first time the music whispered to "create world new world..."
I remember how i went into creative, spawned a bunch of zombie pigmen and punched one thinking that now they all follow me because they are my body guards. Those were the days...
I remember old Minecraft times with me and my brother We would fight over who got to play Minecraft on Saturday mornings and weekday afternoons and play for like and hour I remember when poppies were called roses and they looked different from now I remember when I got upset and furious at why i couldn’t leave the tutorial part of Minecraft because I was too dumb to build a house and the little “crafting table; you’ll be able to multitask!” Would come up and I’d try to mine the dirt and eat apples at the same time I remember messing with the logo “Minecraft” and would put chickens and sheep in it I remember living in the sideways sandstone house thing and ‘upgrading’ the church and placing random beacons everywhere I remember not knowing what the inventory was I remember telling my brother to spawn more squid so he could feed the guardians and screaming at him to STOP SPAWNING GHASTS IN THE OVER-WORLD! I remember making a snow golems for the first time and thought it was a mod from what my friend Trent told me I remember my brother spawning so many ghasts that he ‘unlocked’ the spooky texture pack and I’d make a little house for the dancing flowers and getting stuck in the giant piano at the mansion at the top of the spiral hill thing I remember ‘upgrading’ the sand village so much that i unlocked the Greek mythology texture pack and going through the labyrinth and burning the Trojan horse and living in Atlantis I remember going into the festive texture pack and spawning endermite-puddings and gummy-silverfish and riding the ‘train’ all around the world and making a giant pumpkin I remember discovering for the first time that you could were a pumpkin on your head I remember taking the secret pathway trough the giant Christmas tree I remember one kid make a teen titans tower in Minecraft I remember going trough a jungle temple for the first time I remember going through a sand temple for the first time I remember taking out all the stuff in a blacksmiths’ house and living in it on a super flat world I remember when Minecraft worlds weren’t infinite I remember the Skyrim texture pack I remember the mars looking texture pack and spawning wolves was the creepiest thing I remember the food texture pack and the soda water and egg-glow-stone blocks I remember using enderpearls and glow stone to clip through the ground for the first time I remember making my house in an underground cave and trying furiously to save my diary I remember the time in survival I’d go into settings and make it to basically creative I remember dying if you (somehow) broke the bedrock and fell out of the world and died, even in creative I remember hating on the slimes in the super-flat worlds I remember my brother flying on the edge of the world at night and then our PS3 crashed, and not being able to play Minecraft until recently (2018) I remember so much and I can’t fit all of this into here, there’s too much nostalgia And now I’m typing this comment through a blur of tears I don’t like the new Minecraft I hate it I can’t go back Not anymore, I won’t remember it like the old days I wish I could go back I can’t And I know you probably wouldn’t feel as missed as I do, and that’s ok, because you’d have read all of this faster than my slow typing and overwhelmed nostalgia I wish I could go back I want the old Minecraft back
I remember when I got this game called "minecraft" at 12. My Mother said a son of her friends liked it a lot so she thought I might aswell. I wasn't very excited but still gave it a shot and because I didn't understood a thing I started watching my first lets play. Then it was just a matter of time I fell in love with the game. Hearing this music still in the background while I built a huge cube made of cobblestone lit with redstone torches on every block because I didn't know that there were normal ones
Omg i just got a huge feeling on nostalgia from when i first started playing minecraft in beta 1.6.6, i remember this playing the first time playing, oh, dems memories
The end of the first movement is so somber. It makes me feel nostalgic for things I can’t remember on my own anymore. It reminds me of what it’s like to be happy and not have to worry so much.
Breaking trees Travelling overseas Killing Creepers Digging deeper Finding ores Visiting the earths core Trying maps Failing at parkour Dying to the wither Exploring the nether Then leaving... 3 years past... Reloading chunks Fixing up some junk Building more Dying to explore Mom I can’t do the chores I gotta find some emeralds I found some guy named Gerald Seems to be a villager Whoa watch out for the pillager!
Once upon a time there were three rulers of this earth: Five Nights at Freddy's, Jetpack Joyride and Minecraft all held in the iPad of old. Hours of time spent building, screaming and coin gathering. Minecraft, the leader of the guild brought happiness to all who dared open it's doors, with endless creativity and joyous times. Unfortunately time went on and the iPad grew old, it's screen cracked, it's battery less long lasting and not enough processing power to run the games as efficiently. Still their legends live on and every once in a blue moon someone dares to open it's doors again and while still not as smooth or reactive, the original worlds of the first adventurers remain, dormant but still there, preserved forever. Authors note: Even though the days of the first adventures are over you can still be an adventurer go forth and discover a world of opportunity, creativity and amazement. Relive the days of Minecraft's origin. Please appreciate this game for what it is.
It’s like he knew. He knew so many people would hear such a beautiful song for the first time, be like “oh that’s a nice song,” then move on playing the game. Only for so many years to pass for us to hear it again and truly appreciate it. We understand and remember the wonderful times we had, and we get to cherish them with such amazing songs. It’s like he knew.
I have been playing this game for 7 years, the first time I learned about minecraft was in the summer of 2017. Until now I still remember the first house I built, the first mod I installed, the first friend I made. playing minecraft together, giant buildings, first server, all of which I have never forgotten
I guess all of us were wondering in an unfamiliar world.. Where everything was green. Where the world was in our hands. Where our mission is to survive. Where we could choose our own fate. Where we could mine into the abyss. Where we could craft our own world. We were all like Mice on Venus.. ... *We since were.*
Mice obviously couldn't survive on Venus. So the feeling of mourning and sorrow that fill this track's first part and continue through it makes sense. As the song shifts into the second part, this sorrow fades into something much more hopeful and inspiring, but still bittersweet - the mice may have passed, but they've gone into heaven. The third part almost feels like... acceptance. Still somewhat sad, but after loss, we all have to move on with our lives at some point. It's thoughtful and contemplative, like the player is trying to decide what to do next as they build a grave for the mice.
This takes me back to an era before I understood the severity of the world's issues. When I was fascinated with old generation Minecraft UA-camrs, and my best attempts at houses still looked like wooden blocks with fence gates for windows. Back when I was still a kid, and Minecraft was a world unparalleled in the creative freedom it gave me. It brings back some of my earliest memories of the game, and how I would have absolute hoards of dogs trailing behind me as I explored every nook and cranny I could find. Minecraft is nostalgic in all the best ways possible, and its soundtrack is a testament to that.
I am amazed at you’re description of your perception of Minecraft! It has so much detail and emotion, I never grew up in primary playing much Minecraft, I’m in high school and have joined a realm with my cousin, it is amazing so far, I’m trying to appreciate as much as I can, making dangerous journeys through the nether. Stealing just for the sake of helping my cousin finish his Pandora’s Box. I don’t wanna leave these days, but I will have to eventually. I’m glad to have read your story, you kinda, woke me up and made me appreciate how much I have so far! Thanks for the wake up call.
this is one of the ones that really puts me in the feels like fr almost cried. I wish I could go back to 2011 and relive my minecraft adventure with all the amazing people I met. I wish I could be a noob again- horrible at every aspect of minecraft yet loving every second nonetheless. watching my sisters play it in awe, waiting for my chance to play my own world... but those times are over and gone. wow c418 thank you for such an amazing soundtrack to the best game of my childhood.
I remember how we played with my brother ... We built castles and houses to this music. And what happened?.... Hearing this music, I feel happiness, and memories ... I really miss you brother, I hope that you are in a wonderful place...
Am I the only one that loves the second part of this song? Don’t get me wrong the first part is super nostalgic and pretty. But the second part of his songs feel super lively and bouncy, can’t really explain it, it’s just a joy whenever it plays. Especially this part: 3:28
Yep it just speaks DOING to me. Building this, building that, walking into your chest room to sort some stuff out and get an item you need, craft something, feed the animals, DOING and activity is what I feel when I hear this part :D
I was once 5 when i discovered and tried minecraft, the one who introduced me to minecraft was DanTDM. I should have thanked him for that. All those creation and destruction i have made. Good ol' memories.
Minecraft music really touches my soul. Lots of memories and chapters in this game. Also RIP Technoblade. Here’s to hope that there’s a next life after this one where you’re kicking ass ✌🏽
I love all the Minecraft soundtracks, but this one in particular makes me feel the most. It reminds me of one the times I played the demo of this game on 360, waiting inside one of the villager homes during the night, watching the sun set through the window. Man, do I miss those times.
Me and my brother used to share one laptop to play this game like i used to control the keyboard and he used to control the mouse and we barely knew anything about Minecraft because that laptop didn't had a sim for it's network to work i wish i could experience those days again😢
A man once said *i think skyblock at its core is the ultimate challenge you spawn at an empty island with some wood and some dirt to stand on and as you slowly progress through the game you gain a new appreciation and some day you’ll look back and be amazed by how far you’ve came*
this track, this is the track i heard playing when I first encounted a creeper. so every time I hear this song I think of the sad armles man I wanted to hug. :'(
It reminds me of high school when it's 12th grade and you've graduated and the kind of bittersweet feeling you get. You'll never need to go to school again but it's time to be a true member of society. It's time to get a job, A family, A Home. So get started. Great things are coming for you and they want you to chase them.
@@meme_95oop I'm very late to this comment - his name was socks and i had had him fir ages. I was walking in a desert and there was a ravine nearby somehow socks fell into the ravine without me noticing. After i got home it was only then i realised and the music started to play. I ran to the ravine but couldn't find anything and it didn't say my dog died in the chat. I'll never know what happened to socks but when i hear this music i mostly always see a dog (or wolf in the game) wandering past.
the first time i heard this song was such an experience for me, i remember being on top of a tree at night and heard the part at 3:15 and seeing zombies swimming around in the water omg i had no idea what they were at the time... i also remember seeing lava pouring out of a mountain and was so amazed
Back when there was no worries, back then when we would play after school, back when we had no toxicity, back when it was just us and our computers, devices, and consoles. -A Minecraft veteran with an Xbox 360
Today i’ve achieved something that change my life. Sadly. My parents were passed away before I was able to show them what I’ve did in this world. Which make it useless

SkyBlock teaches us that no matter how ridiculous the odds may seem, within us resides the power to overcome these challenges and acheive something beautiful. And one day, we'll look back at where we started and be amazed by how far we've come." ―Technoblade 2019
The sun sets behind the blocky horizon, casting long shadows over the pixelated landscape. You stand on a hill, overlooking the world you've built, where every block and every creation tells a story. The familiar strains of Mice on Venus begin to play, bringing a sense of calm and reflection. As the soft piano notes fill the air, memories of countless adventures come rushing back. The first time you punched a tree, the excitement of finding your first diamonds, the thrill of defeating the Ender Dragon. Every mining expedition, every fortress built, every sheep dyed a silly color - they all blend together in a tapestry of nostalgia. In the distance, you see the quaint little house you first called home. It's small and simple, but it's where it all began. The wheat fields sway gently in the breeze, and the torches you placed long ago flicker warmly in the twilight. You remember the friends who joined your world, the laughs you shared, the challenges you faced together. "Mice on Venus" plays on, a perfect accompaniment to this moment of peaceful reflection. It's a reminder of why you fell in love with this game in the first place - the creativity, the freedom, the endless possibilities. Whether you're building towering castles, exploring vast caverns, or just watching the sunset from your favorite spot, Minecraft has always been a place where your imagination can soar. So take a deep breath, let the music wash over you, and remember the magic of your blocky adventures. No matter how many years pass, this world will always be here, waiting for you to return and create new memories. Happy crafting, and may your adventures continue to be as endless as the Minecraft world itself.

This reminds me and my cousins when we used to play Minecraft before.
I was little kid back then.
I will never place my last block. Never.
This is beautiful
well said.

Just think...
Your save files are waiting out there, frozen in time...
The adventures, experiences and oh the grinds..
Building your house's, the beginning is always a fight
The fear of dying, without a sword to use in the night..
These worlds are now a memory, something we've left behind...
But we can rest easy, sit down and unwind..
Because in the end we've come so far, the peaceful tranquility set the bar..
The world was a place of zen, yet so fragile like a dove
But we must leave it behind forever as a place we know and love.

As a wise man onces said:
We played, we tried
We laughed, we cried
We succeeded, we died
We respawned and thrived
From the zombies, to the endermen
From the skeletons, to the pigmen
From the spiders and creepers
And from those annoying griefers
From the biomes of jungles to sands
To the mushrooms and other obscure lands
From the snow and ice
To the swamps which never looked too nice
From moments with friends we’ll cherish
From a time we hoped Herobrine would perish
From the great animations
To the UA-cam sensations
Along with those musical incantations
I thank Mojang for creating my childhood
Much better than just ‘good’
I think I speak for everyone here
When I say this is not game of the year
It’s the game of the century
As it offered us with plenty
And these memories will never leave
Just like the thought of first playing as Steve
So I say close your eyes
And listen to the music with surprise
As your memories of Minecraft were once apart
But now can be fixed like a broken heart
In order to find your memories core
You must go back to the world of Minecraft once more
And defeat the Ender Dragon one last time
As the sweet sounds of your childhood begin to chime
One last thing, for me to say
Which would be, have a nice day
Also for you to never forget this game
Nor the journey that came
As a part of that journey was the end
Quite literally, not pretend
Just like this poem, which I hope you have all read
As I would love it if this poem and this game is remembered once I’m dead.

no one will probably read this, but its okay, i just need somewhere to write this out.
My name is also Alex and I share that feeling of nostalgia with you.
Thanks for making me cry

I played in 1.0 tho :( I got the game when I was like 8-7 and I'm pretty sure my dad was waiting for the full release on the computer since I started playing on the VERY early iPad game, before survival mode.
I was exactly the same on the p.e version then multiplayer was added were you could join other worlds with a code. Better times
I came around at 1.5
Since 1.3, I remember being terrified when witches were added to the game in 1.4
This one legitimately made me cry. I don't know why this particular piece out of all of them, but it touched me very deeply.
The final part made me think of Halloween for some reason
That happened to me with Danny and Sweden

This little squence of notes, followed by a dissonant chord, and then finally resolving is probably the most nostalgic part of the song for me.

*first day of first grade*
Me: *to self* hey! This year I should try to make friends!
*homeroom*
Me, in my head: hmm, I could try him, he seems kind
*sim to end of year*
He's a jerk
*go back*
Hmm, him.
*sims to end of year*
Friend: see you next year!
*go back*
Me: hi! My names Mason. What is yours?
Friend: Gabe.
Me: what do you like to do?
Gabe: Lego's, like ninjago.
Me: me too! Wanna play later at recess?
Gabe: sure
*two months go by*
Setting: recess
Gabe: let's roleplay Minecraft with Scottie!
Me: what's roleplay and Minecraft?
Gabe and Scottie, his best friend: *explains both to me*
Me: OK!
*a few months go by*
*restaurant, dinner with his mom and sister*
Gabe: this is what Minecraft looks like *shows phone*
Me: cool!
Me after we get home: *looks for Minecraft on my dads phone, can only find free rip off versions*
Me: this is fun
*end of year*
Gabe: mason, wanna play over the summer?
Me: sure! I'll get Minecraft and we can play together
*beginning of summer*
Dad: hey kids. My job branch shut down so we have to move.
Me: OK, I can still play with Gabe, right?
Dad, lying as we are moving to Baltimore: yeah
I only saw Gabe for 2 hours a few years later. Never seen him since. I have evolved into a major Minecraft player. I hope to see him once again. I miss you, Gabe.

I know the first part of this as the "I'm living with friends and we're helping each other before going to bed for the night" song and the second part as the "empty castle" song.
This feels like meeting an old friend who hasn’t been online since 2017
"I feel like Skyblock at its core is the ultimate challenge in resource management. You spawn on a tiny island in an empty universe. All you have is a tree, some supplies and some dirt to stand on. You have to treasure every dirt block, because if one falls into the void there is no way to replace it. As you carefully navigate your absurd circumstance, you gain a new appreciation for few things you have as you meticulously use them to their fullest effect . With nothing, but some ice, lava and saplings you slowly start to terraform this empty expanse into a world of your very own. Skyblock teaches us that no matter how ridiculous odds may seem to be, within us resides power to overcome these challenges and achieve something beautiful. And one day, you will look back at where you started and be amazed by how far you've come."

True
Thanks for your replay button! It means a lot!!!
C418 is a absolute legend good lord man, thank you for making the nostaligic music we will always love.
I am not a Minecraft veteran, but this - makes me cry. Thank Minecraft for not so much but very good memories.
I remember the days...
I just
threw potions at zombies
played around with witches...
build (sucked at it)
just had fun in single player world's
and hear this music...
this music...
you can almost hear the poor music trying
an we weep the whole day crying.
this music is telling us to go back to those days
no one understands the feeling
of just creating a world and clicking
"create world"
non-gamers think we are weird
they just dont know the feeling
that this music gives off
maybe someday
they will know.
this music is just telling us to not complain
but go back
go back to those OLD versions
go back to when this music was special
go back to those versions
..
since Minecraft has changed so much maybe going back.
will feel like the first time
the music whispered to
"create world new world..."

I remember how i went into creative, spawned a bunch of zombie pigmen and punched one thinking that now they all follow me because they are my body guards. Those were the days...
I remember old Minecraft times with me and my brother
We would fight over who got to play Minecraft on Saturday mornings and weekday afternoons and play for like and hour
I remember when poppies were called roses and they looked different from now
I remember when I got upset and furious at why i couldn’t leave the tutorial part of Minecraft because I was too dumb to build a house and the little “crafting table; you’ll be able to multitask!” Would come up and I’d try to mine the dirt and eat apples at the same time
I remember messing with the logo “Minecraft” and would put chickens and sheep in it
I remember living in the sideways sandstone house thing and ‘upgrading’ the church and placing random beacons everywhere
I remember not knowing what the inventory was
I remember telling my brother to spawn more squid so he could feed the guardians and screaming at him to STOP SPAWNING GHASTS IN THE OVER-WORLD!
I remember making a snow golems for the first time and thought it was a mod from what my friend Trent told me
I remember my brother spawning so many ghasts that he ‘unlocked’ the spooky texture pack and I’d make a little house for the dancing flowers and getting stuck in the giant piano at the mansion at the top of the spiral hill thing
I remember ‘upgrading’ the sand village so much that i unlocked the Greek mythology texture pack and going through the labyrinth and burning the Trojan horse and living in Atlantis
I remember going into the festive texture pack and spawning endermite-puddings and gummy-silverfish and riding the ‘train’ all around the world and making a giant pumpkin
I remember discovering for the first time that you could were a pumpkin on your head
I remember taking the secret pathway trough the giant Christmas tree
I remember one kid make a teen titans tower in Minecraft
I remember going trough a jungle temple for the first time
I remember going through a sand temple for the first time
I remember taking out all the stuff in a blacksmiths’ house and living in it on a super flat world
I remember when Minecraft worlds weren’t infinite
I remember the Skyrim texture pack
I remember the mars looking texture pack and spawning wolves was the creepiest thing
I remember the food texture pack and the soda water and egg-glow-stone blocks
I remember using enderpearls and glow stone to clip through the ground for the first time
I remember making my house in an underground cave and trying furiously to save my diary
I remember the time in survival I’d go into settings and make it to basically creative
I remember dying if you (somehow) broke the bedrock and fell out of the world and died, even in creative
I remember hating on the slimes in the super-flat worlds
I remember my brother flying on the edge of the world at night and then our PS3 crashed, and not being able to play Minecraft until recently (2018)
I remember so much and I can’t fit all of this into here, there’s too much nostalgia
And now I’m typing this comment through a blur of tears
I don’t like the new Minecraft
I hate it
I can’t go back
Not anymore, I won’t remember it like the old days
I wish I could go back
I can’t
And I know you probably wouldn’t feel as missed as I do, and that’s ok, because you’d have read all of this faster than my slow typing and overwhelmed nostalgia
I wish I could go back
I want the old Minecraft back
I remember that I thought a creeper was nice! I learned the hard way.
A.G.G , my first time finding a creeper my reply was: " this looks like a giant booger!!" Then when I said that it blew up.
Those were the days...
I thought you could tame a spider! I tried by feeding it rotten flesh and gunpowder, and then i realized

Authors note:
Even though the days of the first adventures are over you can still be an adventurer go forth and discover a world of opportunity, creativity and amazement. Relive the days of Minecraft's origin. Please appreciate this game for what it is.
👍
We were all like Mice on Venus..
...
*We since were.*
this perfectly explains what might have been daniel's intent with the title. i never would have thought of that holy shit
Yes.
Yes:(
I am amazed at you’re description of your perception of Minecraft! Thanks for the wake up call.
i loved the detail in the background. the sad and nostalgic part is at the night time, while the fun and silly part is at the morning. what a detail
this is one of the ones that really puts me in the feels like fr almost cried.
Did your brother.... die?
Wait so where is your brother now?
He is dead@@NoobTheAgveek

Am I the only one that loves the second part of this song? Don’t get me wrong the first part is super nostalgic and pretty. But the second part of his songs feel super lively and bouncy, can’t really explain it, it’s just a joy whenever it plays. Especially this part: 3:28
Yeah it reminds me of villagers
Yes, I love that second part! but I actually never heard it until now. I always thought that the entire song was just like the first part xD
Yep it just speaks DOING to me. Building this, building that, walking into your chest room to sort some stuff out and get an item you need, craft something, feed the animals, DOING and activity is what I feel when I hear this part :D
Yes! It feels like Christmas and 3 am, but I can't really explain why. It's so nostalgic and beautiful
Always the same for me
That's a nostalgia. Nostalgia from childhood.

It reminds me of one the times I played the demo of this game on 360, waiting inside one of the villager homes during the night, watching the sun set through the window.

When Minecraft was much simpler
this track, this is the track i heard playing when I first encounted a creeper. so every time I hear this song I think of the sad armles man I wanted to hug. :'(
It reminds me of high school when it's 12th grade and you've graduated and the kind of bittersweet feeling you get.
You'll never need to go to school again but it's time to be a true member of society. It's time to get a job, A family, A Home.
So get started. Great things are coming for you and they want you to chase them.
Sad thing is. When my Minecraft dog died, this music started playing 😭😭
I will never forget you dog ❤️
That's sad, i thought you named it.
Has to be a coincidence
the first time i heard this song was such an experience for me, i remember being on top of a tree at night and heard the part at 3:15 and seeing zombies swimming around in the water omg i had no idea what they were at the time... i also remember seeing lava pouring out of a mountain and was so amazed

Very great quote
The music got me back into Minecraft
Forgive me, I left minecraft
I forgive, we all move on, then we have a nostalgia trip and return to our childhood memories
@moments in time ok
Although I do not forgive, I will not hate. Sometimes we make mistakes. And that’s good, so go have fun.
We forgive you, just never do it again
you WHAT
1:40 is the most beautiful part
2:35 always hits when you’re in the middle of nowhere and have no idea where your house is, or when deep underground, lost your strip mine in a random cave somewhere
2:13
With that single note, the world sits still.
