I didn't know Rimworld had any PVP at all, this video autoplayed and I listened while cooking. I really enjoyed it! I got a kick when you told us you're starting gear each time.
I don't have much knowledge of this gamemode, but I'm curious what the RimWorld PVP community's consensus on the RNG elements of the game is, such as weapon hit chance. Is it viewed as a problem or is it balanced out by the elements of strategy? Is the usage of a mod like Combat Extended something that's ever been discussed? I wonder how that would affect balance
we keep the mod usage very low for stability reasons. Combat extended has been asked many times and it isn’t optimal because it causes instability. Rimworld is a game that is almost entirely RNG and that does not stop at its combat. In fact, combat is probably the most RNG reliant aspect of the game. The key to being successful is learning how to know and use the RNG to your advantage. It’s about learning how to put yourself in situations where the odds are stacked in your favor. I actually wrote a document about common strategies and methods to take advantage of the RNG in our newest game mode.
@@YacheezRealI mean pvp is probably gonna have less rng than normal raids. People have brains and wont do shit like charge everyone through a meatgrinder randomly
I can definitely see this becoming a standalone game in the future if it isn't already, considering that's exactly how DotA and by extension League of Legends came to be It would be very interesting to see a Dwarf Fortress/RimWorld style competitive RTS become an esport
the lowest chance of base accuracy for snipers is 50 percent for normal quality. but of course there are many other factors like the sniper skill, physical condition, weather, light level, cover, the fact that they have gun links and some more that i’m forgetting. but no, shooting chance is completely vanilla for what we are using. OneHunchMan has a really good breakdown for the math of shooting accuracy on his channel if you want to get a better idea for how it works.
Dude, I thought this concept was dead, I’m hyped to see it being alive
you can join the discord and play yourself

Awesome pacing in the video man. I was so surprised when I scrolled down and saw less than 200 views
thanks for the love, tbh when I was editing I thought it would be too short.
Man, this is fantastic! Thanks for playing and thanks for making a video!
give this man a dollar, a medal, a warm cup of hot chocolate, a hug, and 1000 subs
