I always interpreted Chronos De Medici as an Italy obsessed Japanese dude who legally changed his name and tries to use Italian whenever possible, despite knowing as much Italian as a kid who watches Dora the Explora knows Spanish.
I thought Jaiden was immune to Bleowski's chill-out aura because he's already fundamentally chill. The main difference between the two being that Belowski prefers sleeping to dueling, despite loving both, whereas Jaiden is the opposite; loving the game over all but his friends. That's just what I remember though, haven't seen the show in years. 😛
Belowski: Yeah, but it's all good, man. Ya know parents. They restrict and confine their kids and never understand the motivations cause they have the wrong wavelength, man.
Little Belowski was one of those characters I almost instantly liked, the voice was a bit much at first, but once things get moving, it quickly grows on you. Part of me always thought that he was such a strong duellist, that he got tired of winning with some of his powerful cards (you see him play with another deck in the flashbacks) eventually finding the card Mokey Mokey, and thus, the spirit. This lead to him using his current deck and having a good time while also hanging out with his spirits. As a kid… there were quite a few people who took Yu Gi Oh really seriously and used some powerful decks (one person having the Egyptian God Cards), so seeing someone in the show act how he did was so refreshing… and I ended up acting a little bit like him while fighting friends for fun.
8:10 As a fellow neurotic italian I feel this. My guy was Yoh Asakura. Chill dude who hung out with ghosts and could always sleep well. Hot take: 4kidz Shaman king was best shaman king
I do find it a bit concerning that his clothes are all torn up. Like come on Crowler you can afford to give him clean clothes or at least ones that are a tad more durable.
I feel like this video was made for me. This is my hole from that junji into manga. I love this episode so much, and have literally sat my friends down who have never seen Yu-Gi-Oh and forced them to watch it. I am in fucking nirvana watching this right now, you're saying everything I've been saying for years
To be fair Jaden being a dude who has no chill when dueling is a foresight to the reveal of what he become/return to. You don't give blunt to the Dark Emperor. And even after Jaden stop being emo, Yubel is there to deny him from any recreational drugs like a good mom they are.
Belowski was such a fun character & i remember hoping as a kid that he would show up again ( atleast more than a couple cameos) Him seeing duel spirits, being a great duelist & having the powers to cause mass drowzyness with "the Moke", + Crowler treated him like his secret weapon of sorts ,it all seemed like a setup for him being a supporting character, Great vid man, "far out", ( also i feel like cloudians would have fit him great to complement Mokimoki )
My favorite part was that you managed to see how Dr.C was from Fairly odd parents! I mean wow what a fantastic find! Also, I noticed one other thing from this episode… the song “Intellectual Criminals” a Music Lofi Hit has Dr C and Belowski in the song. Mokeo Motegi is by far my favorite character in yugioh. It’s like he sees through all the tri hard bullshit and says “dude it’s literally just a game” and you never get another character like him. He likes playing yugioh but it’s not his entire fucking life making him far more relatable to an adult watching then any other protagonist or villain. I wish we get more of him like we could’ve traded the fat koala guy for belowski in jadens friend group right?
Love dat pillow fella tho he only has a brief appearance in the anime😂😂 Is hard to dislike him with his chill and careless attitude lol. Stress decreases immediately watching him duel. He all about them good vibes ~. He reminds me of my parents' hippie generation a lil 😆 And Mokey Mokey makes everything even better💪. Wish we had seen more of him and his deck😅
Thank you for reminding me of the existence of Parco Folgore and the fact that the Japanese version of "Hey Hey, Let's Dance All Day" is a song about molesting women. This Zatch/Gash Bell memory was buried very deep until this very moment, which is a good thing because I'd rather focus on the amazing parts of that story than the uh... Folgore and Kanchome parts.
