My son just started Junior high band and picked the trumpet. I'm a trombone player but want to practice with him. I picked up one of these just to learn along with him. I'm having a blast and your videos are really helping both of us. Subscribed!
I bought a Jean Baptiste pocket trumpet, play on a Bach Strad, that Jean Baptiste valves sometimes twist and have to be moved. I live in the NOLA area, suscribed looking forward to all of your videos!
@@thetrumpetstudio1584 Came in today. Its dope. I played it on and off while finishing a college project. I was surprised to see that you can pull out all of the tuning slides. Not too out of tune either. Notes that are mildly out of tune can be fixed with embouchure manipulation.
Amazingly, in the three years since this video was uploaded the price of this “$100 pocket trumpet” has more than doubled to $212US (at least on Amazon)!
@@thetrumpetstudio1584 Could this pocket trumpet possibly be called a pocket cornet? I have seen Don Cherry in Amsterdam play cornet with Sonny Rollins; this was in January 1963.

What kind of mouth piece are you using?
Until recently, I was using a Monette B2 prototype (circa 2009). Currently playing on Bobby Shew 5c
