I'm a veteran firefighter who lives in America. I have seen so much over the years that have made my blood run cold. Things that most men cannot stomach the sight of, sadly. It has made me into a hardened shell of my former self. And now a days, it takes alot to get me to tears. And yet, after watching this video and hearing this little girls voice, it broke me. I had the opportunity to attend Andre Rieu, this conductor & violinist, and his Johann Strauss Orchestra in South Florida in the spring of 2022. It was an especially touching concert as it was his FIRST concert dry after the pandemic lockdown! Try to see him if he travels to your town. It's an awesome experience, a variety show with audience participation, too!

My husband played this song for me. As a person who always loved singing, I was mesmerised. We also showed this video to our almost 7 years old girl. This happened 2 months ago and since then she asked me to play this for her everyday as she wanted to learn this song. We are from Romania. I used to study French language for 10 years and I used to speak it fluently, hence it was quite easy to for me to learn the lyrics and teach my daughter as well. After almost 2 months of daily practice I have managed to perform this song along with my daughter. She is so happy for this accomplishment and so am I. I am not a singer however I should have been. I am an instrumentalist, but thoroughly know that every exceptional instrumentalist is to a large extent a frustrated singer, that do not have the voice and therefore uses his instrument as a voice. Once you realize that you have to approach your playing from the viewpoint of a singer, your appeal and impact as a performer increases exponentially. Otherwise you wont get very far. Every good instrumentalist realizes this in one way or another. Therefore, I know that you are worth your salt as a musician as you realized it. Apply it to your instrument and see what happens.

How intentional she is with where she applies more power and shaping every phrase to land exactly how she wants it to be shared, from her heart. I don't know the language or the song but the emotion impacts just the same. The musicality, the intent to communicate, not too much too soon and not too little too late. Just amazing! My husband played this song for me. As a person who always loved singing, I was mesmerised. We also showed this video to our almost 7 years old girl. This happened 2 months ago and since then she asked me to play this for her everyday as she wanted to learn this song. We are from Romania. I used to study French language for 10 years and I used to speak it fluently, hence it was quite easy to for me to learn the lyrics and teach my daughter as well. After almost 2 months of daily practice I have managed to perform this song along with my daughter. She is so happy for this accomplishment and so am I. I am not a singer however I should have been. Life had other plans for me. However, this song brought us so much joy. Thank you, Emma. You sing with your soul. This is something that only great talented people like you can achieve.

I am an instrumentalist, but thoroughly know that every exceptional instrumentalist is to a large extent a frustrated singer, that do not have the voice and therefore uses his instrument as a voice. Once you realize that you have to approach your playing from the viewpoint of a singer, your appeal and impact as a performer increases exponentially. Otherwise you wont get very far. Every good instrumentalist realizes this in one way or another.
Therefore, I know that you are worth your salt as a musician as you realized it. Apply it to your instrument and see what happens.
Where can we hear you guys perform the song? I'd love to listen. I found this clip of Emma yesterday morning and I've listened to many versions/covers with Barbara's and Emma's obviously the best. Both so amazing yet so different. I'm from the US and have no clue how to speak French but I get Goosebumps, I cry without a meaning or story just from the music, amazing voices and the passion they sing with.
