Thank you for this gift! We are learning this song this year. The kids love the signing and you've made it so beautiful. It helps them remember the words and I feel the spirit too!
Thank you! I think there is something so beautiful that your daughter, Lark, shares the name of a beautiful singing bird, and that you are helping us to share this beautiful song with both our voices and our ASL. (I don't feel like I'm explaining it well, but please know I appreciate you taking time to share. )
I just want to HUG you! Thank you so much for doing this and sharing it. Our Columbus, Indiana 4th Ward Primary will be sending alot of gratitude your way. Blessings!
This is a beautiful interpretation! Thank you so much. I enjoy learning the signs and my primary children are too. I feel like adding the signs really helps to invite the spirit into singing time. Thank you!
At the beginning of verse 2, when signing "I can grow like Jesus...", which sign are you using for like? It wasn't shown in your other video. If I teach them to just sign: I grow Jesus, it might be confusing. Thanks!
Hi, Emily. Great question. Thank you for being thoughtful about the meaning of what the children are signing. She uses “SAME-SAME” for growing like Jesus. Both hands form the Y handshape, and the movement is from the signer to the Savior and back to the signer. I hope that helps!
