I started this when the Disappearance trailer came out 8D Like last year. Thought this song really fit Disappearance when I heard it. Gosh my little Haruhiiin~ is fricking adorable. I also love the quality of this movie O_O And of course I finish this right before finding BD files for season 1.
The excerpt at the end is from the official translation of the Disappearance book. Buy it ;D (Shameless advertising in hopes increased sales will make KyoAni do another season of Haruhi or Scheme). Also, for fans of the novels, the tenth one is coming out in March.

You know, I never thought this anime was that special until I finished it and reflected upon it. It's so great because it's beautiful and romantic, but so subtle. You gotta think about how much Kyon's life was changed by Haruhi. The Disappearance made me think about all of this, and that's why I love it. Going back and watching stuff like this really makes me appreciate the whole series.
hi back again after 11 yeats and this anime is still a masterpiece for me
My at the time girlfriend showed me this anime during spring break our junior year and got me hooked. Then the leaks and ad campaign in japan for the movie started running during that summer. We were both so excited. Little did i know at the time she would never get to see it. That next October i lost the my first true love to liver failure. I was bitter, i hurt and wished i was the one who died. Winter break my senior year rolled around still confused and depressed i watch the movie leak on youtube, for her. A few days later this amv was posted i watched it and finally cried and allowed myself to morn for my loss. This amv gave me closure. Fast forward 13 or so years this pops back in my suggested feed. Rush of nostalgia hits me all the memories good and bad. Right when ive been feeling kinda numb and dead. It giving me strenth to keep going again for her. And she would want me to be happy. I miss her so much everyday. Ive never forgotten. Thank you @SapphireAi you didnt know it at the time but when i would think of giving id rewatch yhis to keep me going.
First saw this back in highschool 7 years ago and really thought this was amazing. I used to come back to this amv when times were rough back then. With that I would like to thank you for making this. SapphireAi If you're reading this I would like to thank you.

I'm watching this again and again
They're good. Each one is about 200 pages (besides a few). I am currently on Book 2 (the Sigh of Haruhi Suzumiya), and it is good. You definitely learn more which makes some things make more sense. For example, in book 1, you learn about why Mikuru acts so confused all the time.

I don't fully know (never got that far), but after book 4 (the disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya), it gets more serious. It gets really serious in books 7, 9, 10, and 11. Book 7 is the other side of the movie (other Kyon). Book 7 is also the longest book, and book 4 is the shortest. I can private message you the backs of any of the books from 1-9 if you want me to.

Based on the novel, they don't do that but based on the recent novel (volume 11), it does seem like these two like each other very much.
Also, Kyon apparently goes to the same University as Haruhi and she lets her hair grow longer.
