The fact that Sezane captured so many favorites is a huge testament. I really love that Leo Coat. I've been watching for something I can wear in winter with long skirts for months. I even had a knee length coat shortened. Unfortunately it was my first try with this tailor and I'm unimpressed with the work. I'm working up the nerve to take it back. So hard for me to do. Maybe a phone call. 😏 I don't believe in posting bad reviews about small businesses. I'll lead with that!

I've tried a lot of their pieces this year (full disclosure, I was gifted many of them as an A/W ambassador) and have loved the quality of all but one, which I returned. Other than that, Sezane has been consistently great for quality, fit and design! And I find it hard to style coats with midi-maxi length skirts. I would maybe go for a very long coat if it makes sense for the climate. Tailors can be hit or miss but shortening a coat does sound like a tricky job. I'm with you on not giving bad reviews for small businesses.

@@JessicaHarumi I totally get that you've received promotional pieces from Sezane, but your entire wardrobe is high quality, curated pieces. So the fact that they captured so many coveted spots on your list of favorites is a green light for me. And you didn't even include the square neck tank, which I think is exquisite on you! So you don't think the Leo Coat is appropriate for skirts? I'm petite so I'm concerned that a long coat will swallow me up. In terms of the tailor, it's more an issue of sloppy work. I truly could have done better myself, and will probably try to fix it. But I think the feedback is necessary. Privately. 😊

That book looks incredibly interesting. How is it so far? Also it’s nice to see just how much use you get out of your small wardrobe. Just goes to show how cost effective it is to buy clothing that fits well and isn’t fast fashion

It was really nice! More of a sourcebook but there were some great essays in it too. And yes, quality makes all the difference and allows me to wear my clothing so much longer!

That’s so awesome! Gosh I have mostly Japanese art books at the moment but id love to get some of African artist and diaspora artists soon. Maybe after I move though (moving to Europe this year)

You mentioned something called “HBC in Atlanta”. What’s an HBC! Or was it HPC? Thanks! 🦉
