I would never clean the bike chain while on gear and also I always clean the chain with wd 40 and never had damaged o rings for over 30 years...Great video anyway
I also clean my chain by running the on 1st gear but I am aware that it's a huge risk. I find it effective and thorough. I take great precaution around it though.
Hi Ray: Thanks for this great clip. I own a 1050 XT and when I brought it to the dealership for the first servicing, they did not re-program the bike's computer which made the maintenance indicator always light up (is there any other manual way to reset?)

Yes there is a way. Sorry for the late reply.

You need to put it on dealer mode using jumper wire so that you can access the service reset menu. I think there is a video on UA-cam on how to do it.
