Thank you :-) Actually I have a lot of my inspiration from England, from following the vlogs from Yorkshire Kris, who has done this for many years, Highly recommendable :-)
Ill be honest, i envy your garden! I love the way you put all the plants, the trees, the ponds and even the stones all together to give the jungle Vive. Good luck ..... Greetings from M A B U H A Y PHILIPPINES! 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻
Beautiful garden! I love the new zealand bed and Australian bed as well, and tropical beds, of course. The slugs are not a problem if you leave lasts years foliage, autumn leaves, and other stuff for them to eat on the ground. The running bamboo don’t ever get big if they’re rootbound. Having a barrier that has an open sided in a big “C shape” will not make the plant rootbound- the runners find the big open area and you chop the roots out once after their shoots leaf out, and again before winter.
Thank you very much for your advice :-) I did think that I would loose some height on the bamboo but thought it was the price to pay for not having them everywhere! But I will certainly follow your advice and cut the tubs open in one side. The slugs have been less of a problem this year but mainly because my husband has been sneaking around with a torch after dark and picking them off the leaves :-) I did actually leave last years foliage on the ground - because I am lazy, not because I am smart :-) so I guess that had something to do with it, too.
Sorry for my late answer, didn´t realize that I had new comments on the first videos. My ground cover will be "exotic" looking normal perennials, mostly hostas like Jurassic Park and Empress Wu as they have huge exotic looking leaves. I didn´t film us making the pond but I have a lot of photos of the whole process so I could make something with those and explain what we did.
Thank you for your comment and sorry for not answering before. I have a lot of my inspiration from vlogs from England. You guys are a lot better at this than we are in Denmark. I have bought my plants online in England, the Netherlands and France because we just can´t buy them here, not even the most hardy ones. I can recommend watching Yorkshire Kris and George´s Jungle Garden :-)
Quite inspirational. I'm going to "steal" some of your ideas to divide my rather large garden into interesting zones. I like the themes you have incorporated to make your garden interesting. I also would like to learn about how to build the new type of pond you mentioned. All the best from Zimbabwe.
Thank you :-) The reason we have an Australian bed and a New Zealand bed is that most of my family live down under and that is also why I have an English version. Never thought that people from all over the world would watch but lovely that you do :-) I didn´t film us building the pond but I have a lot of photos during the whole build and I could make something with those and explain what we did.
Sorry for not answering before now. For the last 9-10 years we have had very mild winters -3/-4 degrees centigrade, probably due to global warming. Before that we often had down to -20 degrees centigrade. We didn´t expect to get almost -15 degrees as we did last winter and I hope it doesn´t happen again!
Thank you, you have a lovely garden🙂
Kind regards from England.
Thank you so much 🙂
Nice garden. Love your cat, so pretty!

@@junglehavenidanmark9403 Thanks! Same here. We haven't had cold winters for a while. Hopefully it's gonna stay like that.
