I got one new in1981 and never used fluid on it just plug it up still runs like new fluid hard on it

2 seconds of ether is way to much for 301 cubic inches. just the slightest wiff will do.i have 190xt3,same cubes

If you use the onboard either button the engine needs to be turning over before you push the button. So spraying either into the air intake while the engine is turning over is perfectly fine. Just don’t spray too much.

If you use the manifold heater, you don't need stater fluid at all, just don't use both at the same time
