"Happy hour": twelve minutes filmed in a bar of Brescia 2 (the most modern part of the Italian city half way between Milan and Venice), in the railway station, on some of the city roads and on the A4 Milan-Venice motorway, for the short length which runs through Brescia. Filmed in a ordinary spring evening, for the first part inside the bar Forum Cafè, "Happy hour" has three main players: Francesco, Lorenzo e Adriano, which are: Emanuele Fortunati, Christian Poggioni e Lorenzo Lutteri, three theatre actors from famous Piccolo Teatro of Milan, while Laura, Viola Ravano, is the ex girlfriend of Francesco, the bar tender is Beppe Donadio and Alberto Albertini is a bar customer. Francesco is sad after his story with Laura has just ended. He happens to meet her again by chance in a bar, and, quite disappointed, after a while he goes, runs, away with his two best friends, for a journey which looks prepared and programmed since a long time. While the bar is crowded and noisy, outside there is a silent and still city because Brescia lives a lot inside, inside the buildings and the rooms but hardly in the squares, outside, on the road. Once in the car each one declares his preferred destination and explains it to the other two friends. The sudden end of the journey is quite melancholy and nostalgic.
