I love both of you, and I know your parents are very proud of your accomplishments!
My father told me many times to save my money, and there is nothing around our small town in southern VA. I took his advice and joined the Air Force and learned how to invest in the stock market from one of my supervisors (Tom). This was 47 years ago in beautiful sunny, Athens, Greece.
I returned Tom the favor many years later. I educated him about Veterans Administration disability benefits, and I processed his claim for $4K per month , and he received $28K in back pay, all tax-free.
What a great feeling to give back. Thank you for the videos! God is good!

Thank you so much for the nice comment and also thank you for your service. Greece is beautiful and the food is fantastic so that had to be a nice place to be stationed. How great is it that you were able to repay the favor and help someone that helped you early on! I’ve heard stories about veterans not getting their due so I’m happy you learned how it worked and was able to help others. Thank you again and have a wonderful day.

You are welcome! Yes, Greece 🇬🇷 was a great assignment! Yes, the food was fantastic, cheap, and we ate out at least three times per week. Our neighbors were very friendly and 2 1/2 years there left us with some great memories.

Yes, being financially literate is enormously important! So important that it should be among the highest priority for parents to cultivate it as a matter to drastically improve their lives as well as a legacy for their children ( not to mention generational wealth). Simply put, it's just a matter making efforts to truly learn and acknowledge how to spend, save, and invest while making it a family affair. And there's absolutely no excuse for not being financially literate with all this financial information literally at your fingertips.

This was very helpful and nobody tells you to read up on financial books or take some classes. I appreciate your honesty about financial literacy. Thank you 😊

I was buying cashier checks from the back for 8 dollars because I didn’t use personal checks. I was sending the check via USPS for 7 dollars. This is 15 dollars a month. I then learned that my bank allows me to send checks from my account without any additional charges. 15 dollars saved a month😀

It's the little things like that, that make a huge difference. Your bank should have told you though. They really should work on educating their customers more.

What did I liked about the video- it shows how some people have a disadvantage cause they were never shown financially literacy and they don’t know how to budget and work well with money
What I learned from the video- credit score can effect a lot more then most people think it’s very fragile and important that it effects what cars, houses and sometimes jobs you can get if your score is low

Great insights…if there isn’t already, there should be a required financial literacy course in high school.

Thank you! I totally agree that there should be a course in every high school. Some states have it available, but not all do.

Hi, I did put an investing book on the list " one up on wall street". It's about single stocks though.
