Thank you, this was great! Clear, concise and accurate. Was able to repair our faucet aerator in 5" and save the $70 replacement cost (that's parts only; imagine if you had to pay for a visit from a plumber!). Don't let Delta Inc. or the plumbers union see this!

Very helpful. Thanks for making this video, it's the only one that showed how to get the aerator out of this type of faucet to clean it. Simple once you're shown how!

Man I got pipe dope into my aerator and thought I would have to replace the faucet head, which would have cost me $90. So glad I came across your video, was able to clean out the aerator and now it's back to normal. Thank you so much.

I just found it. There is a special notched key that Delta provides to remove the aerator from the bottom of the assembly. I'll have to find that. I hope this helps someone.

Best video on Utube for Delta faucet fixes. Many thanks! This was so great.
2:49 - that blue part pops off (careful) with a small blade. This is the flow restrictor. Remove this blue screen and put the aerator back and flow improves on CA faucets. I have the Delta A112.18 faucet head, similar but not the same. My aerator unscrews without disassembly of faucet. Unscrew this aerator from face of faucet head using a coin or flat screwdriver. Soak in vinegar, brush clean of debris and reinstall with or without the blue screen. This improves flow.

Well done and good timing!. Today, I just took off the faucet sprayer assembly head on this same Delta faucet in your video. I was planning to clean the aerator screen and I couldn't figure out how to disassemble the sprayer head to get to the aerator screen. I did not consider removing the actuator button first. Anyway, you solved the mystery. Thanks!

Very nice. I had a problem with the yellow push valve itself (in the video, it the yellow plastic ). You can remove it by removing the valve retaining lock clip which just pulls off. Then you can with slight force pull out the valve assembly and when I did there was a worn circular rubber washers (I think there are 3 total). It had broken and pulled out of position so I could no longer push on the valve to get the faucet to switch between the shower spray and the regular "mode". The out of place broken rubber washer was jamming it so it wouldn't move all the way.

To lube the O-rings use a waterproof silicone grease made for faucets like "Danco Perfect Match: Silicone Grease". Other types will wash away.

You would think for a company that offers life time warranty on things. They would make things easier for people to repair themselves instead of letting filing a claim and replacing the entire unit. What stupid engineering. Thank you for the video!

I see many requests fro finding the part number or replacement aerators. I looked on the Delta site and there are no exploded diagrams of the head. I do wonder if another aerator could be purchased (the style that screws onto the exterior of a faucet) and the "guts" of the aerator exchanged. In my opinion all of the pull-down faucets on the market offer dismal flow rates (typically 1.8 gpm). On my builder-basic single handle Detlta faucet ("Foundations" series) I get 3.4 gpm with a full-flow aerator. It makes filling pots and the sink far less time consuming.
If anyone has tried pulling the guts out of another aerator (perhaps another Delta/Masco/Master Plumber branded part) to replace the one in a Delta spray head I would love to hear about it.

On a new Delta Paucet that had no pressure, I took the head off and held it upside down in the sink, then sprayed it out with the hose, which had strong pressure. A lot of black plastic very small pieces came out in the sink. I pue the head back on and oit worked great.

Not really. You will likely damage the clips or the plating. Beside, it only takes 1 minute to take it appart...
