On the insurance part,comprehensive also has a chapter of excess protector,natural calamities,violence and a courtesy car incase you have an accident claim.
For third party,the insurance doesn't cover car repairs

Congratulations on Baby Snowy 😊 hehe last year when I went for my car, we finished the procedures and service quite late in the evening so we were to travel back to Eldoret the next morning. We decided to go to Mama Ngina drive shortly that evening but we had the KD plates weeh police came to ask why we are moving around Mombasa with KD plates yet they are only intended for moving the car from point of purchase to your home as you wait for your registered plates to arrive. We pleaded with them for about an hour, eventually they agreed to let us go without paying them but they said we should go and park it at the hotel we were staying at until the morning of travel if we don't want problems 😅

Then during the journey back to Eldoret, at roadblocks they didn't disturb much since we had the signed papers for the KD plates so they were just confirming if the person driving the car was the one indicated on those papers as the designated driver of the car. I was made to understand that they are very strict about usage of those KD plates and they are only meant to transport the car to your home, not for normal driving around with freedom to go anywhere

So I'm not alone in this, police should come down and give people time, it's not like we want to stay there forever but once it gets late, it gets tricky and scary especially for those going far at night

@DevotaRegina Yes, tuko wengi. Had to park it at home for 1 week till the registered plates arrived..its quite tricky kwanza at night weeh
