    Wish I could give you more than one thumbs up. I've been self-teaching for three years so this is a big chunk of material for me. Above my pay grade, but one measure at a time, I'll get it. Thank you for your mellow approach and succinct style. I'll be watching this one over n over...n over..n over..etc

    Admittedly I come to your channel mostly for your fantastic work on the electric and the accompanying theory, but the stately elegance of this piece has me inspired to give my acoustic a bit more time than it currently receives.

    Man, I love this song. You have such epic taste in music Eric and your teaching style suits me perfectly. I'm working my way through learning your Bird On A Wire lesson .. this has been an absolute eye opener for me, such beautiful melodies and techniques. It is a joy to play. I'm almost to the end now then I am going to tackle this one. Thank you man! You're the best. Seriously.

      Yeah I was really happy with how Bird on a Wire came out - fun to play, with many neat tricks, and yet thoroughly reverent to the original :-)
      I think I ticked some of the same boxes on this one - nice melody, nice runs, all executed with respect for the song.

    Love the D140. Great tone. I have an old GAD-50 in iced tea burst and a GAD G212 in natural. And love my US made D20.
    I do keep one Martin around in case a visitor turns off their ears and insists on drooling over the headstock only.

      Oooh that's a good one! I've started transcribing that solo 2 times now - once in open position, and once at capo 7. It's tough!
      Maybe third time's a charm!

      @@EricHaugenGuitar Their cover versions are excellent. There's a great version although not great quality of them doing Country Girl by CSN&Y. We're playing it as part of a Neil Young gig at The Betsey Trotwood in London tomorrow, along with Albuquerque.

That lead me to your channel and I have to say, your channel and teaching are excellent. If I can make a request - I think it'd be great if you could take a look at Josh Oliver's playing with Mandolin Orange. He is an incredibly tasteful player. Go Heels!

      Aha I just looked - grab an Am chord, and then that little 0-2 hammer on with the middle finger. That should work!

    Another great Rawlings tutorial! You really nail Dave's haunting melodies.
    Eric, Are you still building all of your backing tracks in logic?
    Excellent sweetening tip on the E string & capo. Very common issue!

      Yeah, I'm still using just plain ol' Garageband - with some plugin upgrades :-)
      I use Toontrack EZ keys and EZ drummer, a waves compressor, amplitube 4, and valhalla vintage verb.
