      Not a fan of the jalapeño cream cheese hey? Lol. I used to use regular cream cheese and jalapeños but I found this a bit of a cheat and a shortcut. Had them again for supper today and my son joined us. Good to hear from you bud and happy new year 👍

    Hi Chuck. I really like the looks of this convenient stove. Alot easier than lugging around a 35# smoker and 5gl propane jug. And your fish and Ptarmigan bombs looked delicious. I do a bit of smoking myself. Besides freezing the finished fish,, we also "bottle" our smoked fish. An hour to 1-1/2 hrs of good smoke then in the bottles for pressure canning. A bit more work but worth it. My favorite to eat. We'll have to share brine recipes some day. East coast/ West coast. Be well. Happy trails.

    It’s been a strange year weather wise on the island as well. No snow and really mild conditions up until the end of January/21. Lots of snow thru February and so far in March. 6-8 inches of ice in the ponds when usually there’s a couple of feet. Lots of slush now too with the snow we’ve gotten. Love the videos, keep them coming! For some reason I’m always hungry after watching your videos lol.

    A lot of great stuff on today’s video - excellent recipe on the ptarmigan poppers, salmon just done right, beautiful snow covered landscape, coffee outdoors and Willow. But the best is the smoker. Foldable and a great size for a couple of people. Definitely ordering one with the table. Great for camping also.

    Hi Chuck! awesome video once again Sir! Chuck, I think I may have some not do good news for you regarding your ankle. I, of course am so out of shape these days , so since you look in pretty good shape, this might not effect you. I've had my ankle ( the same one ) look like your many times over the past 10 years, 6, 7 times probably . Since its a severe sprain, good chances that you will sprain that same ankle again in the future. I never went to physio, which probably could of helped, but never the less. I'm always worried about my ankle when playing around. by the way, the fish and poppers looked delicious !

    Just a little pro tip on those locker style smokers.. whatever you have on the top racks will smoke faster as the temp is always higher in the top and there's more smoke collected there so if your smoking meat/pork along with fish it works well to put the fish on the bottom. not to mention the added benefit of any bacon fat dripping down on the fish for more flavor!!! great videos!

    Hi Chuck I've been a subscriber for a long time and enjoy your channel immensely. I bought a 2021 Skandic swt 900 ace and love the machine. The only problem I'm having with it is every time I take it out I have to clean all the snow out of the sliders and track or everything is frozen solid and I can't even move it. The snow seems to accumulate in the tracks and I've been cleaning it out after every run and it's ok but I'm spending a 1/2 hr to an hour getting the ice chunks out. I don't have a heated shop to thaw it out before my next run. Any suggestions?

    • @ChuckPorterEverythingOutdoors
      @ChuckPorterEverythingOutdoors  3 роки тому

      I have had this happen occasionally, however, here in the North it's usually cold enough that you wont see much thawing/ice forming. We do see it late in the winter/early Spring. When practical, I move the skidoo (just around the yard a couple times) about one hour after parking it. This is usually enough to displace the ice thats trying to form (and jam) the track. That way its relatively free for when you start it hours/days after

      If you have a strong back or a son with one, (or a sled track lift ) grab that rear bumper up off the ground and throttle the track a few times to loosen up the snow and ice. You may need to tent your sled with a buddy /propane heater under to thaw it. Just add some gas line antifreeze to the tank. My Tundra fan gets all bunged up with ice after a slushy lake crossing.

    Hello, Just curious did you buy This Winnerwell smoker or are you a sponsor that get free winnerwell products for your reviews?

      I have bought some and I do some promotions for them as well. I have a lot of companies reaching out to me (daily) to promote their products. I choose to promote Winnerwell products as the quality and the relevance to my lifestyle are premium. I fully recommend people to check them out 👍

    That was close...tie your ramp to the truck

    • @ChuckPorterEverythingOutdoors
      @ChuckPorterEverythingOutdoors  3 роки тому

      I use the hooks but they come undone sometimes with the snow buildup on the truck bumper etc. Most people here actually want the ramp to eject so not to jam underneath the skidoo once in the truck. Luckily I’ve never had an incident yet in all the years I’ve been using one
