This is not the PlayStation 3,Xbox 360, or PSP version of the game, this is actually the real arcade hardware. Finally, some high quality Tekken 6 Bloodline Rebellion arcade gameplay with one of my favorite characters, Kazuya Mishima!!! I’m recording the actual HDMI video and audio output from the Namco system 357 hardware which is based on the PlayStation 3.
Tekken 6 originally released in 2007 in arcades but one year later, the game got an update in the form of Tekken 6 bloodline rebellion which gives us two new characters: Alisa and Lars. Also, the character select theme was changed. The first true HD Tekken game for the arcades! The home ports were also based on this update. The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 ports were released in 2009 while the PlayStation Portable version was released in 2010. I have revision firmware 3.40 which was the last update to the game, mine is also the Japanese version of the game.

The intro for the arcade version is so over the top I love it!
This particular intro in the video, is actually the same intro Xbox 360's version has (Yes, Xbox 360 has Bloodline Rebellion while PS3 has Vanilla)
Both the Xbox 360 and ps3 have the same intro, however, both arcade intros are included in the “extras” section.
I played this in the arcades awhile ago and i see the differences
The graphics from the arcade version are different from the console versions (also the PSP Version)
also, Kazuya is also one of the characters i use in this game 😁👍

Wow! Glad to finally be able to see this game captured internally, it's extremely uncommon for people to own PCBs for more recent titles. I can say so far that the quality is crisp and aliasing is kept to a minimum.
One thing that I noticed about the Arcade version in old UA-cam videos were that the hit sound effects were slightly different, with a bit of a fade-in effect applied to them. This pretty much confirms that is exactly how they are supposed to sound. Loading times are almost instantaneous here, without the delay seen on PS3. There's also some slight lighting changes in stages like "Anger of the Earth", with it being brighter compared to the console version.
Obviously one of the bigger changes to the soundtrack is that Electric Fountain starts right after the buildup, immediately playing the fast-paced section. The "Name Entry" theme at the end is one I've never heard before, so that is really nice! I kind of wish they would have kept the scoreboards after completing Arcade, but sadly it wasn't brought back.
Great footage nonetheless! I'm very curious to see the eventual comparison video between Arcade and console, that should be a real treat.

Kazuya Mishima actually was a true first character in every Tekken.

@@ps123fan I doubt it. I think Tekken 7 looked just generic. Lack of facial expressions even when compared to Tekken 4. And even the art direction sucked for my tastes. I feel happy as a Tekken fan that newcomers loved Tekken 7 graphics but as a lifelong Tekken fan, I didn't like it. Tekken was always the forerunner among its contemporaries and sadly, it probably ended with Tekken 6 Arcade version. As for Tekken 7, all I can say is higher resolutions and polygon count don't automatically result in a beautiful game.

I love this game, the 3rd fav in the series (after T3 and TT1) in my personal toplist.Waiting for the comparison video, for the moment I could say that, while the picture is absolutely smoother (no jags at all) than the console counterparts, I can notice at first sight an overall slightly higher polys count on consoles you can check especially in the character models. 😉
Also, too bad chromatic modes aren't available in the arcade version, I always go with blue tones and from what I can see the coinop is set to green.
Comparison video is in the works! I will release Time Crisis 2 first as that is one comparison video I have promised and the one video idea that won my mini poll lol! I have noticed this about the 360 version of Tekken 6, the character models are a bit sharper as well as the character renders. Stay on the lookout for those comparison videos! :D

@@FIGHTERSCHOICEArcade Yep, exactly, you can instantly notice a slightly more edged structure just in the characters vs renders screen few seconds before the actual fight. 😉
@@SaturnJap yep, the format of the next tekken comparison videos will be in the same format I did my Tekken 5 video, even with the nice, crisp, image slideshow at the end. It may be a bit of a longer comparison video, probably around 35-45 minutes in length but I will try my absolute best to not miss any single detail, Tekken Tag 2 may be the longest comparison video to date. ;)

How does it compare to the home console versions? I noticed Xbox has words in the center bottom of screen during fights and the arcade did not . Also the home versions don’t show the stats through attract mode

Is there a chance you could record footage for the Vanilla Tekken 6, I would love to see the old boss screens as I never really had access to them in my areas.
As much as I wish I could, I don’t have access to it and it will most likely not work on my system either as the firmware was updated for Bloodline Rebellion. I’ll see what I can do.

Thank you! If only I could find the file to make the drive and usb dongle myself, then I could capture gameplay of it. The “good news” is that the firmware installed on my board which is version 3.40 should be able to play other games. Originally T6 shipped with firmware 1.50 or similar and T6BL shipped with v.2.50 which caused compatibility issues. Supposedly, v3.40 fixed those issues.
