You are the best ! :D
❤❤❤
Wow dang that's good. But how would I paint the bamboo trunk in a bigger scale? Bigger than the brush, that is.
Oriental Art Supply sells larger wash or Hake brushes. They range in size all the way up to 4.5 inches. These are the most fool proof way of doing larger trunks using the technique that Ning Yeh is demonstrating in this video. You can find the brushes here: orientalartsupply.com/products/wash-brush?_pos=1&_sid=1d68b1973&_ss=r

Wowww! You are the greatest painter I've ever seen.
Thank so much. I am so keen to learn this technique
I wonder if it will be the same if i use watercolor
You can use watercolor. Of the elements that make up Chinese Brush Painting, I think the paper (rice paper) and the brushes are most critical to the essential to the experience. Many colors will work. Not all work well with rice paper but most are fine. Try it! If you have any issues let us know!
what an amazing lesson! very good details. I am going to give it a try, Thank you so much.

That's not traditional Chinese painting. That's just watercolor.
