    Glad to help in bringing lost resin casting to more jewellers. Thanks for inviting us to work on such a cool project!

      Do you use the recommended .4mm contact point for the supports or have tried anything else? What Layer Height are you using?
      Thanks for all your videos.

      I'm having a lot of trouble on my SL1S getting small pendants to print. like a tree fog and lizard with small body parts on them at a small scale. im about 75% fail rateif not 80 and ive tried the x10 at first and now the x0ne since Prusa has started promoting it. I've gone with Prusa presets for exposure times orientation and supports, plus added more supports and still just getting supports and half a print or broke toes and tails on the pendants besides the presets from Prusa does anyone have exposure time settings for a more consistent and successful print with smaller finer objects? or at least any advise. its very frustrating.

    A Special Thanks to Prusa 3d and Clear Mind Jewellery for the review. In our experience SL1S printer it is one of the best plug and play and professional solution for use our resin. Great job.

      Trying other blue cast resins we have never got good results on platinum at a house casters that won't follow specific burnout schedules. All of the test videos I can find are non precious. Can you confirm that this X one resin will cast as well as solid Scape in platinum at a house caster with their own burnout schedule? I write this having tried every single blue cast resin - cheers

    I am patent-pending on a way to print both metal and mold without wax/resin. No soaking. No uv. No support removal. No tree. No investment. In minutes.

    Although the price is a bit high, Bluecast is a great choice.

    We have tried all the blue casts except this one. I can say with authority that gold and especially platinum does not cast well on a standard burnout schedule in a casting house. I am sure that with a custom in house casting schedule it would be better.
    If anyone knows that Blue cast One casts well in gold and platinum on a standard casting house schedule (lots of standard wax models and solid Scape) please do let me know!

    • @ClearMindJewellery
      @ClearMindJewellery Рік тому

      It is unlikely that the burnout schedule, alone, is the problem. We have used very similar burnout schedules for resins as we have for wax (Often with both waxes and resin prints being in the same flask). The vast majority of resins including those in the Bluecast line up don't melt and so you need a suitable investment to deal with any thermal expansion before the resin starts to "burn" or "combust".
      XOne however does have melting qualities, and melted under a heat gun during our testing.

    I haven't jumped on the resin printing yet but will be eventually. But did I just hear that this resin does not need to be cured?

    Super interesting. I would love to have this setup.
    @4:22 why do you tilt the investments in the kiln?

    • @ClearMindJewellery
      @ClearMindJewellery Рік тому +1

      To allow for air flow. We are out growing the kiln with our flask sizes, so in order to maintain airflow and get proper burnout of the prints we need to prop the flasks up.

    So no uv required yet the vid does show a uv cook or am I mistaken? I was also told that one needs to blow air after the soak to dry the parts no?

    • @ClearMindJewellery
      @ClearMindJewellery 2 роки тому +1

      At 02:20 thats not actually a UV cure. That is a heat setting. It allows for air flow and the heat speeds up the drying process and makes the supports more flexible for removal.

    Man I wish I could afford the SL1, fooling around with a cheap resin printer and Lychee can be a pain in the ass. At least my FDM is Prusa ❤

      You can use Prusaslicer also with those cheap resin printers. UV-Tools can load the Prusaslicer files and export them as chitubox file.
