All those moments of dead silence while your gears are turning gave this video a very funny tone.During those I couldn't help but say yes? when I expected you to break the dead air with a explanation.
UK wiring is interesting. Traditionally we had a "ring main" where all the sockets are chained together, and then the end goes back to the fuse box. The fuse for the entire ring of sockets would be 20-30amps (at 240v), so a faulty heater could quite happily pull five or more kilowatts before anything blew... so fuses in plugs, because UK plugs are rated for 13 amps. Each plug has a fuse appropriate for its attached device. My PC has a 3A fuse, the washing machine a 13A fuse. If you have portable extension cables or multi socket splitters, they have fused plugs too, so it's possible to have more than two fuses in a system for added crazyness :)
Oh yeah, no problem. It's quite normal for our kettles and boring things like hair dryers to use 3KW. Popped the breaker in my house by running the tumble dryer, an electric heater, the TV and then trying to boil my kettle for a cup of tea. It got to the boiling stage, then all the power went out. (My house is old, it has one, single circuit breaker for all the sockets in the house)
I have a question that you can clarify for me. I recently bought a pvm, however I noticed that the projection light is dimmer than that of a CRT tv. Is this really real or is the model I picked up in question with some kind of defect ?
Also purchased 9044qm today from Russian Ostankino (i live in Moscow) tv station warehouse for 80$ as a brand new due to they were used it rarely as outdoor monitor!!!
Hello Mr McRetro, I own a Sony 9042qm, image and and sound is great. However my H/V Delay Button is stuck on. I didnt see how you removed the front panel, how would I detach the button? Thank you. Have a good day!

Someone dropped a spanner in there a while back! 😅

Gold! Thanks for the explanation! 5kW+? That's madness! 😁

I just recently got this monitor, so this video will be most definitely valuable for me.
@ 17:29 When you said "bezel", the way you said it, reminded me of Basil of Baker Street, from The Great Mouse Detective.

I know this is really late but i recently got this as a gift and i was wondering if i could use this to play gamecube
Nice video! I have this same model. Have you found a way to degauss it?
German said "Device generates x-ray radiation."
That explains why I can now see through walls! 😁
that looks like a nice monitor!
It's the best of the best! I love it like it was my own! 😊
Great video. When will part 2 be ready?? Can I suggest using a PC Engine to test rgb??
A few more days! Hopefully before the weekend is out! 😊 I wish I had a PC Engine (Somehow it's still on my list of things to get one day...!)
Wow the mic even picked up the high pitch squealing from the CRT
Are you sure that's not me crying out in pain? 🤔
Awesome video
I didn't know it runs on batteries!!
I wonder what the run time was like? 😂
Focus please!!!!!
