    I was inspired by you to get into indoor whoops and I am blown away by what a skilled pilot you are Nick. Been getting my feet wet with a little Meteor65 pro 22 and it’s been a blast. Just built a 75 based on the Moblite7 frame today and had my maiden flight just before watching this 👌Thanks for the great content as always.

    if you dip below 6v or it might be 5.7v for even a split second with a battery sag you’ll loose 03 video/connection. A cap and good quality batteries help but i’ve had a heck of a time trying to avoid it.

      How has the o3 camera been handling some crashes?? I understand the lens protection, but with the gyro built into the camera these 2 drones really have minimal camera protection. I don't think I have seen a bad review for the flylens 85 or 75. How would you compare it to the DarkStar 20? Thank you Nick! Merry Christmas to you and your family! @@pianomans1 The flylens85 has far more flights than the others, and the flylens75 more than the dark star. No damage to either flylens, the darkstar is largely all plastic. I can try, but you fly more packs in a day than I do in a week; I'll have to work on that. My thumb got cut off, and through experimental surgery, it got reattached twice and that surgery gave me 98 percent of my thumb ability back after 2 years. I am learning to train it with FPV flying, which works better than physical therapy. Until I started flying, whoops, physical therapy wasn't doing it; using the pinch method has brought me back in the game. So the thumb “was” a cog in my spokes, but not now; it's just getting out there flying more packs. Enjoying the sport and I watch Nick closely; I would like to move up my game, so I am going to work on it now by starting by adding five packs a week. Thanks for everything, Nick! Your videos have made me and FPV Piolet.

    • @NickBurnsFPV
      @NickBurnsFPV  9 місяців тому

      @@dondupuis4007 I do think I recall your amazing thumb surgery. Its interesting to me how if we can find something to replicate physical therapy movement on our own the recovery can often be more successful. I have noticed this myself with my shoulder issues. When the issues return, a few weeks at physical therapy helps but doesn't resolve the issue. A few more weeks at home doing similar movements and I get to nearly 100%. To increase fly time maybe try an fpv simulator?

      The flylens75 is actually about 80mm, or even 82mm. So the acrobee75 HD is the smallest. My main concern is the acrobee75 O3 mount is seriously think and likely to break. I broke two of the mounts just trying to get the O3 in them. Hard to envision mounts I broke in my hand surviving much of a crash. I think the flylens75 will last far longer. As to fly ability they are fairly close, neither will handle much wind

    What's with the double fence you fly over, don't know that I have ever seen that, you both seem to lose some yard, just being curious. I have seen roads like that with city right of way, where no one owns that land. Another great video😀

    • @NickBurnsFPV
      @NickBurnsFPV  9 місяців тому

      Yes, that double fence is new in the last 2-3 years. The previouss neighbors had two dogs. They had a fence constructed but didn't want to take out the greenery right next to our fence to join them up. And they wanted a different style. So they enclosed their backyard and we have that small area between the fences.

      Yes, I think its important for a multitude of reasons. First, I need to get comfortable with how a quad flies, that doesn't happen in 1-2 batteries. I also feel its important to fly them repeatedly so I have some idea about reliability. Of course even the reliability side (with 30+ flights) is a very small sample, but gives me more comfort than a single day of flights.

      For most of us the aggressively weight is so important to be able to control aggressive indoor flight. The overall size is also important as the quad gets bigger we have less and less margin for error. 2s battery and a good low weight quad can certainly be flown more somewhat in tighter and indoor spaces and pretty capable in somewhat larger spaces as well.

      When lihv first came out years ago I tried and found they batteries didn't last all that long, maybe 30-40 flights before they started degrading. I could be that the batteries can handle HV charging now, I am not certain, and the sporadic times I have tried it the last few years didn't feel it was worth it.

    Is there any difference between pusher drone and none pusher drone?

    • @NickBurnsFPV
      @NickBurnsFPV  9 місяців тому +1

      The main physical difference is the props are closer to the ground in a pusher configuration, which could come to play if we go down in grass and try to take off again, the props being lower could mean we can't spin the props to take off. The other is not so much certain, which is efficiency. I have yet to see any data or tests show the absolute efficiency gains with pusher configuration. It might be there, I just haven't seen it with any certainty.

    It’s clear from this video that the drone lost video connection before the motors even got tired. As a result, these drones crash more often than usual. The incredibly weak frame, made of aluminum, bends easily and the mounting tabs often snap. But the saddest part is that Flywoo has started selling drones that are defective right out of the box, with controls cutting out unexpectedly. And everyone knows their tech support is a joke; they only have canned responses for the simplest questions, like where to insert the battery.

So I consider this as my HD drone ( since Goggles 3 now supports O3 ) to fly in Air/manual mode. Is your camera angle different between slow and fast flights?

    • @NickBurnsFPV
      @NickBurnsFPV  Місяць тому +1

      The camera angle setting in betaflight doesn't control the physical camera angle. It only controls yaw when using horizon mode....this from memory. If you want more camera angle we can physically change the angle, without a requirement to change the camera angle setting in betaflight.
      Yes, I am not sure the angle I just eye ball it. For slower flight the angle might be around 10 degrees and faster it might be closer to 35 or 40 degrees.

    When starting your flights with the 750mah battery you are between 4 and 4.1 volts. Is it right that you can charge them to 4.35 volts? Dont you do that to not stress the battery?

    • @NickBurnsFPV
      @NickBurnsFPV  3 місяці тому +1

      I don't high volt charge my multi cell batteries. That could be old worries as when HV batteries hit the market they didn't last long when HV charged. It could be much different today. With 2s batteries and the power demands of the DJI 03 the voltage initially drops that first .1-.2 volts.

    Nick, why do many 03 systems come with ELRS, and which do you prefer? Thanks, I enjoy your videos, most of the whoops I purchase are ones you review, has been working 3:03 out great for me.

    • @NickBurnsFPV
      @NickBurnsFPV  9 місяців тому

      Its not so much that quads with the O3 come with ELRS, as just about everything comes with ELRS now. Its a great reliable protocol and its probably the least expensive receiver to use. Which elrs receiver do I prefer? I really don't have a preference outside of size. I buy the smallest ones I can with the cube antenna.

      @noobsplain 8 місяців тому

      @@NickBurnsFPV yep. Happens quite often with crashes that pass a certain threshold I guess. On light crashes I usually don't get it. Most recently I was tripping spinning around a tree, hit the ground and it froze- just to give an idea of how hard I was flying it. Another time was on a power loop where I hit the side of a gate and crashed to the ground.

      @NickBurnsFPV  8 місяців тому

      @@noobsplain Thank you for the additional details. Its certainly curious, this is the only quad I have had it happen with. Makes me wonder if its how its wired, seems like it has to be wired, only other way to get more info is to swap in a used known O3 that doesn't do the freeze and see what happens. If I get more reports of it with this specific quad I may have to take that little test on.

    Is this the best O3 quad to rip around indoors? And are there quiter ones?

    • @NickBurnsFPV
      @NickBurnsFPV  8 місяців тому +1

      None are what I would call quiet and I think the only one what is quieter than the rest is the darkstar, but I don't suggest flying that one aggressively inside. One big issue with ripping around inside is the O3 camera is always sticking out front and could be damaged fairly easily. If we are okay with that "75mm" format like this one is the smallest I would go with an O3 and doesn't handle the O3 weight pretty good. The others in this category all have the camera more out front and likely to be damaged as well as the O3 mount.

    • @sakulixx
      @sakulixx 8 місяців тому

      @@NickBurnsFPV I agree, but I am looking for a small quad with the O3 to fly indoor and outdoor. Now deciding between the 75 and 85.
