HI Friends in this video i will be showing you 3 common way of Kalash Simple decoration using Blouse piece. These are very simple and looks very beautiful that everyone can try at home.
Few details about the festival that i have learnt online.
This festival is celebrated to honor Sri Mahalakshmi Devi’s birth from the milky Ocean and usually the Friday before the full moon (waxing phase) (Dwadasi thidhi) in the month of Sravana which can fall during the last week of July to August. This year 2010 Sri Varamahalakshmi Vratam falls on the 20th of August. All the Fridays in the month of Sravana are considered auspicious for Lakshmi puja and all the Tuesdays are auspicious for Mangala Gowri puja.
Like the Satyanarayana Vratram the Varalakshmi Vratam is performed for all-round prosperity. This is a procedure (Tantra) involving about a couple of hours time with chants and a story at the end. Those who want to fast can fast. Some perform this vratam in the mornings and invite people in the evenings and offer thambulam. Others perform in the evenings in everybody’s presence. For Lakshmi puja, 8pm to 11pm in the evening is very auspicious.
