I've been laughing with the boys for 50-odd years, and I still never tire of watching. There's nobody to equal them, let alone replace them, because they're pure comedy gold. Make sure that your kids and grandkids get to see this majestic pair in action, for their work is timeless and utterly irreplaceable. The world should never be allowed to forget Stan and Ollie - it's the least we owe these comedy giants for entertaining generations of fans. Bless them both.
@@JamesMiddletonDesign Sorry for the late reply, my friend, but congratulations on giving your sons the chance to appreciate the work of Stan and Ollie. Very good parenting skills, lol! Would love to bump into these two great comics myself, one day. Let's hope there's a heaven and, just as importantly, it lets me in when my time comes ;-)
@@Turrican60 Thanks Turrican60. Ollie was a big Bible reader. Stan wouldn't sleep in a hotel unless it had the Bible in the bedside cabinet. So perhaps they did take eternity seriously?
Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy were/are wonderful! They were absolutely brilliant comedians. The most inventive and unique of all comedy teams of all comedians possibly. They were truly magnificent! The world was fortunate to have had Laurel and Hardy and still able to enjoy their legacy of laughter.
Mr. Laurel left us 56 years ago today. He and Mr. Hardy left so much laughter behind for generations to enjoy in the films they made. Thank you Mr. Laurel and you too Mr. Hardy.
Oliver Hardy pass away 63 years ago today. It does not seem like he is gone for he and Stan still live in their films which are still being played years after their deaths. Mr. Hardy you had the best look I have ever seen. One look from you and I just break up in laughter. I hope you and Mr. Laurel know how much joy you gave and still continues to do so in the films you left behind. Thank You!

Laurel & Hardy, masters of comedy in timing, execution, and deliverance. The greatest comedy double act of all time, and generation after generation have, and will continue to laugh in hysterics at their legendary slapstick capers.
The absolute masters of their trade,...but done with an innocence and a charm, that was so endearing and a total delight,......their likes we'll never see again....one off comedy geniuses....
No swearing or sexual content ,just great comedy for all the family to enjoy ,brilliant and my grandson of 7 loves them now ive shown him them on you tube
The beauty of these two is that they were pioneers of their art so they had real freedom to perform without being compared too much. Times have changed but in all honesty I don’t think I could find anyone to beat these fellas! I admire so many comedians who have come along since then but to still be funny after all these years means they were pure and naturally funny!

I totally agree. I have given up watching TV these days - too much violence, bad language, immorality, etc. A culture that has lost its way. A testament to great comedy - the ability to make you laugh without having to surf the gutter.
As someone who has spent most of his life researching and writing about Laurel & Hardy (I was blessed to know and interview more than 60 of Stan and Babe's co-workers from the Hal Roach Studio), I thank you for this -- but even more, I thank you for sharing L&H with your two young sons.
Thanks Randy! Funnily enough, I am thinking of putting a docu together about the lads at some point. Have you considered doing this yourself? Or perhaps you have.
Ahhh... so pleased to see your name here! Your book is just the best. I so much appreciate all the work and the love that went into it. An invaluable source of great information which I have put to good use on many occasions. Thank you!
I love the turn-based fights. When it's not your turn to dish it out, you sit or stand there stoicly while your opponent assembles their cruel and amusing punishment.
