ThemeParkMedia there are locking pins powered by a solenoid that lock switch tracks in place before running trains on them. I’m guessing he just had to nudge the pin out of its slot to let the track release.
It probabably took so long because Intamin coasters are harder to operate than B&M coasters. If you have the chance to go to Wonderland, Leviathan has little to no downtime, and runs 3 trains, all the time, no matter how empty it is.
My K'NEX ride Shantis will run 3 trains, and it has two final brake runs (one behind the station and one behind that one), and a midcourse brake run. So it doesn't need a switch track. However, I originally planned for 3 trains, 2 in operation and one optionally swapped out, with a functioning switch track.
This going be my first ride back after two years i rode the Gatekeeper and Maverick opening rides i finally gets a chance to ride something different cant wait June 11th
I feel that Superman the Ride has too much straight track between its stupidly huge helixes, whereas Millennium Force has burned off quite a bit of momentum when it hits the straightaways, so they are of normal length.
Ford Rollhaus the guy who’s switching the train needs to wait for the person in the control booth to give him the “all clean switching to manual” then he’s allow to switch it over or but it in storage for maintenance to come check.
I was there In June 2018..... after waiting 45 minutes in line... we got to the loading station... and it took them 27 minutes to do this...... not very impressed...... good chance I will think twice before waiting in line again for this amazing coaster... :(
Real Men of Genius...…….Today we salute you Mr. Roller Coaster Maintenance Hammer Swinger Guy
I only watched this video to listen to the soundtrack! lol
4 years later... it is the same exact soundtrack lol
Sean Doer, it’s been the same soundtrack for 20 years
Technonaut - Killer Tracks
That music is so addicting.
Cedar Point used to have it available on their website to download back around 2009. Dunno if it's still there or not
When Steel vengeance opens I'm gonna be going on this over and over
That was cool. I've rode Millennium Force probably 50 time's and never seen them change the track.
Happy 20th anniversary to an amazing coaster! Wish i could have another ride this year! Im here to listen to the music too 😋
Just watching that train shoot up the lift makes me giddy
Nice vid. I always wanted to ride MF's transfer track. Now I did on Top Thrill 2's switch track when it worked. To me the most novel thing about it.
I don't know why I needed to watch this but I ain't complaining
4:53 man that train leaves the station and up the hill so fast haha
I saw this first hand on my Cedar Point trip, it was so cool to see how they did it!
how fix a roller Coaster part 1 go up to Track Part to tap something with hammer and thats how u fix a roller coaster

rollercoasterfan2000 it took long either the person who’s switching the train forgot a step, or maintenance needs to check the ride first
Roller coaster ride engineer where do you guys get this garbage from? Intamin coasters are harder to operate than B&M coasters.

This going be my first ride back after two years i rode the Gatekeeper and Maverick opening rides i finally gets a chance to ride something different cant wait June 11th
I've seen a train removal on Superman The Ride at SFNE, it must've took 10 minutes easily just to remove a train
logan kendrick that’s crazy. I don’t know why it should take so long.
I feel that Superman the Ride has too much straight track between its stupidly huge helixes, whereas Millennium Force has burned off quite a bit of momentum when it hits the straightaways, so they are of normal length.
I have ridden Leviathan! It's great but it's no Millie! 😉
Brad Kilgore what's a Millie? Is it a miler?

Cedar point may not even open this year ):
Im so sad because of frickin corona
they are opening in 11 days i think
I’ve always wanted to see this it’s my favorite coaster ever the best in the world
Category: Comedy
It is kind of comedic how maintenance legit just had to smack the ride with a hammer to get it going
I get they want to be safe and all. But why does this take so long?
