How to make one from raw materials. Make your own unique hunting bow from bamboo. Shaping, tillering and more..using raw materials, a pre-shaped kit, or one of my NEW bow blank. Hi Dave, I just noticed that you shoot your bows "right handed" but shoot your crossbow "left handed." Are you left eye dominant?
No arrow shelf for me, I shoot "off the knuckle." I grew up shooting traditional English low bows.

Would I be able to modify this ever so slightly to make it a horse bow? Looks like all I’d have to do is cut the angle opposite in the handle so the limbs point up instead of down

something is not right on your explanation of the dominant eye,,, if closing the left eye moves the object that is the weak eye,, if NO movement on the right eye , then that is your dominant eye,, ole USN vet

Thanks for the video Dave, very informative. Is the glue and wrap you use a special type or can it be sourced in diy stores? As I am in the UK it would probably be easier for me to source the materials here. If it is a 'trade secret' I understand but thought it worth the asking. Respectful regards. 😊
I sell it on my site, but if you are able to get you can use real hide glue and real animal sinew of course. Good luck!

I make my bows out of hickory and ash wood I got some bamboo im fixing to make a bamboo bow today
Apparently wood glue doesn't stick very well to bamboo. Good hot glue is insanely strong. Seems weird but its true. Watch the Project Farm video on hot glue tests.
