you can't trust the series number anymore, if you wanna look at engine size. For example the new 530i has a 2.0 L and the new 540 i has a 3.0 L. And yeah it has a 6.6 L
That RollsRoyce engine dilema for those who dont know.. its for marketing.. Those RR V12s are BMW engines.. the new RR Ph has the new BMW V12. What does that tell you.. google it.

It's due to regulations, in Europe the speedometer cannot display a speed that's under the GPS speed so the manufacturers calibrate it to always be slightly higher.
Every other company does it. The speed from the Tachometer can not be slower than the actual speed. So the manufactures make the Tachometer be 0.8% - 1% more than the GPS to make sure it does show the GPS speed or higher if there are any wiggles (I hope thats the word) in the car.
