Lackawanna Cutoff Update #17 Roseville Tunnel and Colby Cut

- I know this is a short update video but, it's all that I could get. It's hard to get the shots I want with all the vegetation in the way. There are photos of the inside of the tunnel. Credit is given to the person who took these photos. ( Photos are not mine). In this video, you will see what the Cut-Off looks like by pacing it from West to East and Back. We also take a look at Colby Cut in its present form. Again, I am sorry this is a short video, but it's all I could get for now. I hope you all enjoy this update and stay tuned for update #17.
If you haven't already, I suggest that you go watch parts 1- 16 of this series. Stay tuned for another progress video of the Andover Station Lackawanna cut-off.

wow, much different view than when Chuck Walsh rode through here on his bike a few years ago.
@@Arturo-sm1tb much different
Very nice update! The project is moving along very well now! I can't wait to finally see Trains on the line again!👍
Thanks for the update. I look forward to seeing the progress on Andover Station
Thank you for the update!
@@ELAlcoRS3 your welcome.
Did they shave the 24 feet off the Roseville tunnel from one end or did they split between the two ends. I enjoy tour updates very much.
@@rich9862003 They blasted the one end .
Thought they were going to day light Roseville tunnel?
Obviously they didn't
Is the plan to single or double track this segment to Andover? I wonder if there is space for a second track being left for Amtrak and their proposed extension over this line to Scranton.
@@arnoldrjs right now it's single track planned.
Very nice. Unusual perspective by pacing via Roseville Road.
@@LackawannaCutOff It's the best way I can show people what the cutoff looks like from the road.
Pipe dreams and nostalgic old me. The trains will never run through here again.
@@ericwieboldt7042 Yes they will run again.
@@edholderproductions whatever you have to tell yourself bub. Th rail shut down for a reason and it will stay shut down for the same reason✌
If there was no need for trains on the cutoff then this project would have never happened. Just look at all different kinds of documents that are out there explaining why the cutoff should be put back into service which is going to be in the next 3 to 4 years. Njt is going as far as Andover and Amtrak would go to Scranton in the long term.
@@edholderproductions again, pipedreams d nostalgic old men. The only reason njt and Amtrak have dipped their toes in the water is to secure federal funding. There is zero need for these trains to be running. No one, and I mean no one is looking to go from nyc to scranton pa. Most people that live in sussex county and work in the city dont want to take a train. Theres just no need.
@@ericwieboldt7042 if you can find a study proving this then do so because everything I have seen says everything against the what you're saying.
