I grew up with that Milan... Maldini, Cafu, Nesta, Serginho, Seedorf, Pirlo, Gattuso, Rui Costa, Inzaghi and Shevchenko, among others... I was born in 1985, so I was a teenager in the early 2000s. As an AC Milan fan, a passion that my dad gave to me when I was a child, I can't say how I feel when I see the name of Shevchenko. He just was my hero as a teenager. I was so confident that he could solve all problems, just like some kind of Superhero. So it's really moving for me to watch those videos. I have feelings and shivers on my body when I hear or read this name: SHEVCHENKO!

Definition of Complete striker! Scored from any angle , and with any means ( left foot, right foot, header, free kick, etc ). Always clutch in important games ( seriously if you check AC milan games from 2000-2006 against top teams in serie A or champions league, he is in the scoring sheet each time ). Top striker in Europe against top defenders... this guy was facing the best defenders in Italy and all over Europe. Would be easily a 30 goals or more striker in today’s football

From 1999 til 2006, as FORWARD was second just to O Fenomeno (Ronaldo). He was devastating because he was a complete player, able to play with the team , high technical skills, clever, and he knew how to score. Beside all these qualities he had one thing more than the others: the mentality. He was decisive in important games, not just against small teams. After Messi, O Fenomeno, Cr7 and Samuel Etoo, for me he has been the best centre forward over the last 20 years.

one of my all-time favorite strikers EVER. I have liked him ever since I've watched him play for Dynamo Kiev and putting 3 goals into Barca's net. and when I've heard that AC Milan (my favorite team at that time) have transferred him... well, you get the idea :) .... Cristian Chivu (one of Romania's best defenders that's captained Ajax in his early years, and later on moved on to AS Roma and Inter Milan where he's been in the starting 11 due to his defending skills has said that Andriy Shevchenko has been the most difficult striker that he's had to defend against, and we're talking about an era where Chivu had to defend against the likes of Ronaldo - the real Ronaldo I mean - Del Piero, Inzaghi, Raul, and the alikes. Yet, Sheva has been the toughest striker to mark because of his amazing understanding of the game, as well as his great positioning. You would never know where Shevcencko was going to be the next second, and he's always understood the game 1 second earlier than everyone else, which is what has given him the edge over other strikers, which, subsequently, is why Chivu has always had difficulties marking him... Good old times when AC Milan was existing in football, and players like Kaka, Shevchenko, Inzaghi, Pirlo, Maldini and Seedorf were each entitled to their own Ballon d'Or... Good old times... and I miss them so much)

Incredible he was a Striker with winger qualities (u could easily put him as a winger)..But that s Sheva once he picks s the ball from a left or a right side and has a bit of space you could not catch him even with a Buggati Cop Car. He was a nightmare for defenders with his one-touch strike or control then strike (very powerful with both feet s) dribble s plus he could score headers (very big jumping qualities very athletic), Set pieces Freekicks Penalties Corners(amazing touch and precise passes as well). Fantastic one of the best

Here a funny story about him. When he first came to his first training camp in Italy. It is Summer and very hot. After a 2 hours workout, You see all the boys going to the lockeroom and have shower, massage or whatever, they were all restless. He goes to a team mate and said: is that all'? He goes back and worked for another 2 hours on his own even with more intensity . Compared to lobanosky's sessions (his former coach) these serie a training were too soft

I'll tell you another true story! When he first came to Milan, to sign the contract, or rather, the negotiations were still going on, so je came in Milan to meet Berlusconi, Galiani and other executives from Milan, with his crew from Dynamo Kyev, even before they started the negotiations and everything else, they went to Berlusconi's office in Casa Milan, and when they entered, Berlusconi ran out first, approached Sheva, Adrey tried to pull out his hand, thinking they'll greet, instead, before he even got the chance to do it, Berlusconi got on his knees, got his handkerchief, and began cleaning Sheva's boots/feet, and said: "This boy has golden feet. He's gonna score so many goals for Milan, I wanna be the first one to touch them!"
      Everyone was in shock!

After 2013 it all became about Ronaldo-Messi. And now Football is not interesting at all to me. Miss the golden age when all players were top class and the Champions League clashes were legendary. Sheva was very well rounded as an advanced forward. He didn't really have any weaknesses and was on a very high technical and mental level but his best attribute was his raw pace. There were many players as skillful as him but that bit of explosiveness really made him stand out from the pack.

. Maldini can be as historic as you want but a player of 37 is already close to retirement
, the normal thing is that you have a substitute ready for him and Milan never had it, thats why their level declined
