This was a weird internet story! Glad I was able to cover it today. Just goes to show that doing something completely mundane and/or normal on the internet can send you down a weird little rabbit hole sometimes. Anyways, next video should HOPEFULLY be tier 2 of the paleontology fringe theory iceberg, so look out for that at some point!
On the topic of lost media, I checked to see if Prehistoric Planet was lost as well. If it was, then it appears that the first season is at least available to view on UA-cam. If you're curious, Prehistoric Planet was a show that's just a different version of Walking with Dinosaurs and Beasts that aired on Discovery Kids (now Discovery Family) and was edited to fit for a more younger audience.
Well, this might be fake, but there is a real piece of media out there that does cover a story about dinosaurs in the Vietnam War. They’re the Primitive War novels by Ethan Petus and I recommend you check them out if you haven’t already.
This is such a crazy story that I now *want* it to be turned into a movie, not just the dinosaurs in Vietnam part, but the whole coverup and N.U.G.E.T. as well.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to assist you on this story, Diego. It's an honor to not only have someone use my little blog as a source, but to also reach out and ask for help. :)
This is 1000% something the CIA would do. Also, the weird acronym also doesn't seem THAT out-of-line for the Federal Gov't, they're total dorks a lot of the time.
now spinosaurus is getting even weirder, number one the new spino tail, number two its weird evolution of looks through 1912 to 2020, number three spinosaurus got involved in ww2, number four got involved with the fvcking *CIA*
This just feels like The Primitive War with extra steps Primitive War is this book about a squad of soldiers in Vietnam encountering dinosaurs. I haven’t read it yet, but I feel like it drew inspiration from this conspiracy or vice versa.
Diego you deserve this sub, growing up I dreamed of being a paleontologist and I’m now a chef but your channel at least over the past few days has brought that wonder of Dinos back to me. Thank you it feels good.
Funny, I’m producing a spinosaurus movie myself, it’s about how the spinosaurus died out, the spinosaurus we follow is guided by instinct to migrate to Asia for a better life, hopefully I can get it out early this year
I *need* someone to make a short film about this. Both the bits about Viet-Cong "Phi đội Rồng"(what Google-translate says is the Vietnamese for 'Dragon Squadron') fighting American swiftboats somewhere in the Mekong Delta, then the students making the film, and finally NUGET's efforts on covering it up. Make it happen, Internet.
Well, I thought I've seen all the dinosaur movies that has been ever made but I stand corrected I've discovered a few, that I haven't seen yet but one of my favorites is the Valley of the Gwangi starting James Francusicus sorry if I missed spelled his name he was one of my favorite actors back in the day.
I thought that seemed exactly like something the US would be worried about, actually. Just like the US military currently being involved in making sure they look good in movies set in the US.
Not sure how Dinosaurs could possible make a modern military lose a random war with guns and bombs? Unless they somehow exposed the Watergate scandal to the world.
Since Vietnam was fought in extremely jungle-infested areas, many of the battles were fought on the ground that underwent guerilla-style tactics. Bombs and guns wouldn't be as effective there because of that.
Thats sounds interesting. If this was a real lost/incomplete movie like 1931s Creation it will gain alot of attention. but i think the Spino entry in Iceberg was reffering his original destroyed bones.
I love your faith Diego😂, as you already know my new years resolution is to make one video per week on my channel for at least the first quarter of 2022.

*Finally, the four horsemen of found prehistoric animals* Loch Ness in Scotland Brontosaurus in the Congo Something in the Amazon And Spinosaurus in South Asia
The plot of that fake movie sounded like it’s inspired by Godzilla VS King Ghidorah, where the Godzillasaurus drove the American troops out of his Island during the WWII.
Wait.....does ANYONE actually think we won the Vietnam war?!?! I didn’t think that was something that anyone actually debated! I mean, at least other than maybe by flat earthers, and moon landing deniers.
Well people debate if it was a true military loss and not just a loss from politics, since there were already peace talks with the north. The war ultimately ended with America after Nixons whole watergate scandal when any support for the war had dried up and Nixon tried to save whatever face he had left.
Maybe Ethan Pettus created the fake conspiracy theory in the first place. He's the author of FANTASTIC novel "Primitive War". In fact the image of the feathered T.rex with human soldiers Diego uses is concept art for a scene in the book. I recommend the audio version.
Let’s see: Forbidden Knowledge, forced acronym, and a convoluted plan by the powers that be to stop something from reaching the masses; I think this in an SCP, lads. I love it.

I don't know if you would review a novel, but Darkwing, book 0 of the Silverwing series, is one of my favorite pieces of paleomedia. It takes place right after dinosaurs went (mostly) extinct, and follows the path of two mammal characters. The main character is a bat who is born with the ability to fly, while the rest of his family is only capable of gliding. The antagonist is a small carnivore (an ancestor to cats I think), who is keenly aware of the fact that the position for apex predator is now open, and is eager to take advantage of that. It's on the more fantastical side, since the characters are talking animals. But the evolution and natural selection is a major theme in it, and it's fairly accurate to irl prehistoric animals. Even if you don't think you'd want to review it, it's a pretty good book just to read, especially if you love dinosaurs and prehistoric life/evolution in general. Also Fossil Fighters Champions is my favorite dinosaur video games, it's got literal necromancy and robots and stuff. Plus the characters' dialogue is top-tier writing.
Dude the moment you showed the iceberg image I flipped because I got that image a while ago and I wanted to know a lot of the weird entries, and well I guess I know what NUGET is now
