No one is getting mad, you pick someone you have seen as the goat, over a guy who's the actual goat you never saw. MJ could be sleeping and he's better than Kyrie
I appreciate you going on this journey. I’m 55, a former college basketball player who is still playing today. As many others have said, it’s unequivocal that MJ is the GOAT by a wide margin. LeBron is an all-time great player, but he isn’t close to MJ and honestly probably isn’t 2nd, either… Here are a few things from my perspective to think about as you continue to react to these videos. There’s a fantastic GOAT Debate video that I’m sure you will react to at some point that breaks things down very well, but Michael surpasses LeBron in every aspect of the game except longevity. That video will provide a lot of insight, but here are a few other points on why MJ is so clearly the GOAT: 1. Obviously he was the best scorer in history. His career average of 31 ppg is the highest ever. His 34 ppg in the playoffs is also the highest of all time. When he came into the league, basketball was built around the big man in the middle. Before Curry changed the focus to 3-point shooting, MJ was the pioneer that proved a guard could dominate a big man’s game. In a time where the lane was filled with big men and the rules allowed a lot more contact than there is today, nobody could keep Michael from getting to the basket. He also had perfect fundamentals and was the hardest worker despite his incredible athletic ability. He was a DEADLY shooter from everywhere; he never wanted to be a big 3-point shooter because he didn’t want to float to the line and take away from his mentality to attack the basket. He shot 33%, which was average for the time, but in the NBA Finals, when it mattered most, his percentage rose to 38. 2. Context of his scoring- In his first few seasons, the Bulls were terrible. They were a laughing stock for most of their history until he came along. He had to assume the scoring load immediately and averaged 28 as a rookie, leading the Bulls into the playoffs. It was going to take a while to build a team around him. But the team they built was meant to complement and support him more than take the load away from him. Scottie Pippen is an incredible player and the perfect piece to support MJ, but he was never an “alpha” scorer. It wasn’t like you’d see Scottie dropping 40 if Michael was having an off night. Every single time MJ walked onto a court, he was the focus of the defense…. and he still averaged 31. It’s also important to note that if you look at the greatest players, they had other great players with them. Magic had Kareem, Worthy, Byron Scott, etc. Larry Bird had 4 other HOF players in the starting lineup with him. LeBron had Wade and Bosh in Miami, Kyrie and K-Love in Cleveland and AD, Reeves and others in LA. In Michael’s entire career, Scottie was the only teammate who ever made an All-Star team. And yet, 6-0 in the Finals. It was always on MJ to put up 30+, and despite every opponent focused almost solely on stopping him, he delivered. 3. The scoring prowess has led to the “ball hog” narrative. He averaged 6 assists per game for his career, which is solid. But as mentioned above, he was so dominant as a scorer that he was depended upon to do so. In. 1989, John Paxson was injured. Instead of moving his backup into the lineup, they moved MJ to PG. in the 11 games that followed before Paxson came back, MJ had 10 triple doubles in 11 games, averaging 30/11/9. He also averaged 11.4 assists along with 33 points in the first Finals appearance against the Lakers. He was a great passer but was relied upon to be the premier scorer every game 4. Nobody has ever matched Jordan’s biggest gift: beyond all the talent, athleticism and skill was a will to win that bordered on being a psychopath. He refused to lose and looked for every possible item he could find to use as a weapon to personally motivate himself. Ten consecutive scoring titles WHILE being first-team all-defense, 6 championships, on and on….. he was a fury of intensity and will that may never be matched. 5. The entire GOAT debate is a media-created load of BS. That’s not a knock on LeBron or today’s NBA… there are things about the modern era I like better and things I like less. But we live in a world of social media where every media outlet wants clicks and ratings. They know that controversy drives clicks and ratings. They also want to “sell” the sport they are talking about/covering. Greatness sells… if you tell the mass audience that the greatest player to ever play the game retired 25 years ago and nothing else can truly compare, some people will tune out and many won’t be fully invested. It’s a farce… and many of the media people who continue to push the narrative know better. But it drives ratings. Anyway, enjoy the journey and I think you will come to the same conclusion.
Jordan was what Lebron PRETENDS to be. Not a single top 25 All Time player has LeBron as goat. Think about that. Also check out "Using Numbers to find the greatest individual NBA season". Well made video, and will Really open your eyes! (You will s*** yourself at the end too 😂)
He first retired in 1993 because his father died (murdered) and he said he no longer had the motivation to play. He played baseball for almost 2 years and returned at the end of the 95 season.
You got the wrong link. There are others links if 4k dude. MJ all the time. Lebron only cry and cry on the court. Now for been the best player in any Era you have and must have to be good in basketball free thoughts, something Lebron will never have and is so embarrassing claming the best in this Era.
When Jordan was in his prime, he wasn't just the most famous basketball player. He was the most famous athlete in general, and more than that, he was the most famous person on the planet. He was known even to people who didn't know the NBA by name.
Talking about real basketball MJ is the goat and by far the most influencial and popular player! His play was a true beauty and art! Talking about flops and meltdowns - you got Lebron! And that's one of the main reasons no sane basketball fan who had the privillege to watch more than 4 decades of the game would never consider Lebron as top 5 or even top 10 all time...
Jordan averaged 37 in a much tougher defensive era without relying on 3'S & there has always been great three point shooters in the NBA but unlike this era the game wasn't just about shooting three's. Also Jordan's NCAA highlights aren't in black & white.
Jordan by far!! Without social media even
He would average 50 today.
Michael Jordan is the true GOAT 🐐 No debate at all
And always tried to,play all 82 games.
No one is getting mad, you pick someone you have seen as the goat, over a guy who's the actual goat you never saw. MJ could be sleeping and he's better than Kyrie
Nobody's had a 3000 point season since Jordan. He only shot 12 3's...
Yes, Check out Jordan "one of the best defenders ever "
Great reaction bro 🔥🔥🔥💯🎯U NEED TO REACT TO THE INSANE QWICKNESS OF MICHAEL JORDAN ITS A BALL IS LIFE VIDEO 🔥🔥🔥
