I worked for Mazda in the US starting in 1988, I made 3 trips to Hiroshima in 1991 and on one of those trips I just happened to be at the plant on the day that they were bringing the 787b to it's new home in the museum at the Hiroshima factory. We watched as they unloaded the car, then were amazed at the sound as they fired it up to move it and give all of us gathered around a memory I know I'll never forget. The noise it made was glorious and it echoed through the roadways and bounced off of the buildings of the sprawling Mazda complex. I can't imagine what the neighbors thought. The roar was immense and filled every square inch of the property with the beautiful and brutal sound of that rotary engine. Wow. I can almost hear it now. How lucky was I to be there on that day...
Such awesome cars. I loved how you intertwined them with the sim racing world. I started with a Play Station and GT1. I watched so many races over the years and a chance to drive them in a video game was always welcome. Thanks for the content. I'm looking forward to the next one.
It’s amazing how far games have come in the same period of time! Old Gran Turismo games are still peak racing games for me. Always will be…. I’m glad you enjoyed the video, see you for the next one😊
Only just found your channel but went back and watched part one! Brilliant, well produced videos and I love the tie ins with the games! Can’t wait for the next parts
Great video and really informative. ⚡👍🏿⚡ 0:00 - 0:54, nice intro music. Would love to know what the track name is and the source of it. Much appreciated. 😊⚡👍🏿⚡
i kind of agree with Grant Turismo 7 making race cars more expensive now, it makes sense if you think about it but i'm not going to think for you sirrr XD
hey, if you guys ever do anything Le Mans on Assetto Corsa again, get Reboot Team's "SX Le Mans", which is a port from Forza Motorsport 7. It's the best version for AC.

Excellent work John, a.k.a. the Antti Kalhola of Le Mans 😀
Cool to see a glimpse of the revolutionary Commodore Amiga OS/Workbench in there :)
Shame about the driving 😂

Amazing work John & Oasley!
I love Group C. My personal favorite was the Minolta Toyota 88c-v in GT4. I'm sad it never got a HD update. My No.2 is the Sauber C9.
Just yesterday I watched the first part and was eagerly searching for the second. Thank you for the great videos. Much love
Glad you are enjoying them! Aiming to have the final part going out around the time of this seasons 24 Hours of Le Mans Virtual 😊
What a great video. Thank you, John!
You are very welcome! Appreciate the comment.
I love this series’s
These videos are absolutely top notch! Like I couldn’t hope for anything better… unless there were like 8 hours worth of it😂

please mention gte in part 3. it is a huge fan favorite and is probably the 3rd most popular category in le mans history behind group c and gt1
You need to run your mic through a high pass filter. There's a lot of low frequency noise which will be audible for anyone with a big subwoofer
