You literally made my day because I have body dysmorphia and it sucks because I know my body is beautiful but I have certain things like have always had insecurities and like I basically feel like /have felt like , my butts so flat but I know it’s big actually and that my stomach is so fat but really it’s not . I have a small waist . I get things mixed up in my head. I have always felt pressured to workout because I thought if I didn’t and took days off than I was “fat !” Also I’m just a teenager and was insecure about my acne for a long time and thought I was ugly , but really I’m beautiful so I picked at it , left scars and made it worse. I’m also autistic and dyslexic and have ADHD. I also have mental health struggles and physical health struggles and I’m blind (legally) and have to wear glasses!Thankfully, I haven’t felt like that lately and I’ve felt like I’ve been appreciating my body more , so thank you for caring it really means a lot .
It’s like they want us to be a certain way but when we do it they hate it and make us feel bad about it.
I’ve been bullied about being chubby since I was born a doctor called me really chubby. I’ve always been insecure about my body it’s like I can’t go a day without being attacked by someone they call”perfect “. It’s just doesn’t make sense and not fair to women at all.

From what I’ve heard from girls in my friend group, it’s often other women putting down women for their beauty.
I RARELY see men irl commenting negatively about a woman’s body. However back in high school/Jr High I literally saw on SEVERAL occasions a group of girls picking on another girl.

Me too. The thigh gap is the biggest insecurity I have. I'm constantly trying to find someone with the same problem as me at the same weight as me. I can never find them. My best friend is really pretty and I never feel good enough beside her. I hate my thighs and I'm trying to get rid of the muscle because I am quite a muscular person.
Im build so “weirdly” like I have broad shoulders but my waist is pretty small. And than my legs are “obese”.

I'm always flipping between feeling too skinny to feeling like I need to be skinnier. My grandma has made me insecure about my hair and my glasses, how I walk and much more. It's hard to exist in a world where you're expected to fit this one body type. We experience criticism from our family, peers, teachers, people online and it ain't ok. Your body is how it should be, don't starve yourself for the "perfect" body, that's self harm. Don't get surgery on your body so your face looks "right". Don't do anything so you look better for others, do what makes you look how you want to look. If you want to do something so you look right to others, don't. Your perfect 💙
When my friend was in middle school she got a creepy ass love letter that had requests. Yes it said “requests”. It said don’t get fat but don’t get too skinny. Get rid of your pimples but don’t wear a lot of makeup. Don’t have your hair too long but don’t wear it too short.

so... i have this thing (bc my skin color is sooo light) when i get cold, the vains in my skin start to act out and get super dark so everyone would call me "beehive girl". I HATED it! i was super skinny to bc my dad was skinny so i would workout alot so i could look better. i remember something traumatic happened and i stopped working out thinking my strongness would not go away but it did. i was even so scared i didnt want to attened gymnastics anymore cus i know the other kids would make fun of me cus i couldnt do a pushup. dont let yourself be like me

I'm 153cm, and had 33kg weight. Had been body shamed my entire life. I started to follow proper diet and exercise and gained 10kg in 6-8 months. I used to struggle finding clothes for myself, I'd wear a thick legging inside my jeans, double bras or added extra pad, couldn't stand in a proper posture, i hated that, i hated myself. People think for skinny people it's easy but it was very difficult. We work on our body to meet beauty standards but i believe if you're healthy and happy, then you shouldn't hate yourself or body shame others who appear not to have a standard body type.

You are BEAUTIFUL JUST THE WAY YOU ARE
After maybe freshman year of high school I just stopped giving a damn about beauty standards and did my own thing. I shampoo once every two or three days, work out for function and strength, don't wear makeup, let my leg hair grow out, and stopped obsessing over extra padding on my chest. Some people say I've stopped taking care of myself, but in reality I'm eliminating the extra work that would've gone towards a result I felt was a burden to maintain. My hair isn't greasy, skipping shampoo one or two days let my hair's oil levels return to what's more normal. Sure I've got muscles, I've worked on them and I'm proud of my growing strength. I'm still clean and stay hygienic, I just also have leg hair (that is a natural thing that women have.) I'm at a good weight, my big legs and lack of thigh gap are just genetic. Makeup makes me break out in painful acne anyway, and I've always been told my face is naturally pretty anyway. I'm more comfortable, happier, and feeling more like my natural self. ,

Dear, when i was young i was body shamed but now that im feeling good about my body no one actually say anything for example if someone tell me im fat i say "ok and? I like being fat "❤

I may not be a girl but I stand with you guys because I know how hard it is to fit into social standards and all of you here, reading this… you guys are beautiful and amazing and perfect just the way you look. Whether skinny and fat, chubby, and thin. Anyone would love to have you in their life and if they want you to change for them their a major red flag. You guys don’t need to change unless it’s unhealthily thin or fat and even then your only bettering yourself, not for social standards, but your health. Know matter who you are, how you identify and want to be seen, what your skin tone is, what your style is, where you came from, you guys are so so strong and I, and a lot of other men applaude you. Your so important in someone’s life. Maybe you know them, maybe you don’t yet. You’ll find that person. The one who loves you for whatever you look like and whoever you are. Their out there I promise. It just takes some time and patience. Stay strong

OMG you don’t know how much I needed to hear this. For the past couple of days I’ve been so insecure about my thighs,Height and chest area. So I’ve been skipping meals everyday and just going to sleep hungry. It’s only bc Every time somebody looks at me I feel so fat or,I feel like I stick out from my other friends.
