I can stand how in these surprise dog videos how the children are allowed to scream their heads off around a scared little puppy. I like these videos other than that.. The first lesson of caring for the puppy should be to not scream around it and scare it. First important lesson. In other words, consider the puppies feelings first. Very doable.

Agreed. Puppy was overwhelmed and frightened. I can understand the excitement but it would have been wise for one parent to carry puppy into another room/outside until they calmed down or at least ask the children to stop screaming.

My sis and I wanted a dog badly too when we were little. This is before video BTW..... my parents had us stay at our grandparents for the day while they got the dog and when they came back, they had the dog follow them into the backyard where we were ....we were like "whose dog is THAT?"

Look how gentle they are being with her. Charlie Mae is going to be just fine. She will soon associate the loudness with love. She will be surrounded by wonderful people who will shower her with love all the days of her life. Congratulations to the family. That is one cute puppy.

It's too bad some people are so unhappy in their lives that they will look for & find something negative to say about a truly happy & joyous moment. Clearly the reactions in the video were true, raw emotions of excitement & surprise. The children didn't plan to scream and scare the puppy. And actually the puppy was just fine. She was fine in that moment & now she's the most cared for, loved & adored puppy in our home.

This dog was admitted to ICU and treated for trauma but we are happy to say . . .he just managed to pull through...close family are allowed with him now.
