brings back memories. When I was little I used to play this on piano, my oldest brother on guitar, my second brother on bongos and my third brother on hmmmm... I guess clarinet. My fingers are too short and arthritic to play these chords. .. so far, but I'm going to work on it. Love this song.
thank you very much for teaching me how to play this beautiful song !!!! :) i really appreciate all the hard work you've put in ! you've done a great job ! cheers ! can't wait to learn this one ! :)
Thank you for the full Tutorial, Dave! Its helpful to have it in addition at home. I play it now with my guitar teacher to learn more music theory like Intervals and..what is it in English...triad conversion? I mean playing something like cmajor in 2-3 different ways on the First 3 strings for example. And my teacher thought this song is perfect for learning it. And He was right. It gave me more understanding of music theory. But I really need more time to understand it right.
Love it. Simple and awesome sounding on the guitar. I wish I had your Taylor :O) maybe some day I will have a nice sounding guitar. It’s on my bucket list. :O) thanks for sharing.
hello fellow beatles fan, well this was the first track I recall that had the rythum and lead guitar stand out,i started guitar lessons in oct.64,the music books were very primitive and in complete, the beatles were a guitar band ,and all arrangements were for piano, you cant transcribe for guitar and combine them, the publishers really did not know what road to take,,,they put chords that were not there, intros that were in aucerate,,,I mean 8 days a week has not minor chord in the intro, its a major chord, the keys were never right, all songs were in f,bflat,,this track was even confuseing to my teacher,it wrote it out with the end chord in F#,i said the middle chords in the bridge were not correct, and later on we found out about the key change to make the solo easy, and enhance the arrangement, this is called enharmonic modulation change, and some songs require it,tracks like goodbye to love, clo to you are two examples,,,anyway this songs was in eflat, from the publisher,it was not until the 70s when other publishers like cherry lane& the complete beatles,2 vol set, that more acurate transcribes were out, this track rythum guitar is tuned to a open chord,no one seems to ever point this out,if you play along with it,it does not match the notes, the lead guitar is in standard tuneing, the beatles did this on a lot on tracks,we can work it out,is a example,,this acoustic guitar is to neat&polished in my view,i never had the stereo mix until later so i could here is seperate, lennon was a sloppy player,so i said maybe they used a studio guitarest for this, not sure though,it the hard days night film,he is playing all over the fretboard, fake chords, which was the normal trend at that time, anyway whats you view and other guitar players,,the beatles music books were never acurate, the white lp,was and the reason is it did not come out until spring 1969,so it had taken longer,,well almost acurate, the keys were still wrong, back in ussr,in c,instead of a major, dear prudence in eflat, instead of d major,,revolution in c,instead of a major,i could go on,well it is great that new generations of players ,like you and others are feeling the magic of this era,i still have warm feelings when I hear these tracks,,,when i started my first lesson in oct,on sat that month ,the gretech ,#6122 country gent was above my # 2 room,in the plastic bag with the gretech logo, and it was in semi-gloss black,,thanks for reading my email, and have mor to say about the beatles guitar when I get back on this, thanks, dan diorio,,if my music teacher is out there,,JOHN FINELLI of bronx,NY,msay hello,,dan diorio,,
Ive just done my newest cover of “the long and winding road” by the beatles in honor of my guitar teacher passing away ,check it out if you’d like thnx

C'est superbe dommage que ce ne soit pas en français
One
It is not an E major, but an E6
Wrong
E' un E6 ne sono più che sicuro, anche gli spartiti originali riportano un E6 - Ascolta bene.
