  • Well here this is. Finally got the 170cc big bore kit on. I used the Koso kit. Everything installed shockingly easy. I had zero issues. I am still working on getting it broke in and tuned good. This kit evened out the power band. After installing the TB cam, the engine really woke up around 7,000 rpm. This kit made the power a lot more linear and evened it all up to 7k and then the cam took it from there. It pulls much stronger at lower RPM.

A little assembly lube on the wrist pin and oil down the cylinder would help with break in too.

Have you figured out your fuel issue, I have the same issue, but have not seen a new video

Yes. PCX150 injector solved it all.

Two things. I don't know if you gapped the top ring, but it tends to come out of the box too tight for my taste. Mine was .009" out of the box, I opened it up to .011". I also couldn't tell if you took the two dowels out of the stock jug and put them into the new Koso jug. It looks like the head dowels stayed in the head when you removed it.

I did not gap the rings but they didn’t go in tight. I did remove the dowels and put them in the new cylinder. I prob should have gapped the rings. I didn’t even think about it. Good info! Thank you!

It's been 2 years since you made this video. How is it holding up and did you go back and gap the rings?

Hey I was thinking about buying that how's the power?

I’d highly suggest a cam and tuner with it. Otherwise it will feel slower because you won’t feel the bike come onto its power. The bbk gives it grunt. Cam, injector, and tuner gives it top end. They compliment each other well.

Do you know how much power it made after a tune and everything? Highly considering this out with a stock ported head. I’ve already got a cam intake and exhaust and a aftermarket ecu.

I have never dynoed the little thing so I do not know. I do know it will pull my ass a lot faster and accelerates faster. Very noticeably.

Always diesel oil on air cooled engines. Especially with wet clutches.
