- A walkthrough of the 7th and final edition of the Serpentfire Tarot by Devany Wolfe, a Thoth based Tarot deck filled with divine feminine energy and desert landscapes. Please note - my guidebook is complete. I was in a bit of a hurry while filming this video and it was very early. I completely forgot how the guidebook was structed. All the Court cards are listed in one section of the guidebook. Here's the reading for the Lovely Queen of Wands, Frida Kahlo card:
*The Queen of Wands, Self Full Mastery
*Key: overcoming adveersity, love, change, self-knowledge
Upright meaning: A trumphant woman conducts the elements. A storm rages below her but she rises above the clouds, controlling herself and her thoughts. She has no trouble utilizing her inner powers, self mastery has been cultivated through years of effort. Amdist chaos there is always calm. We can find the eye of the storm within by making a choice. The choice, if employed regulary, becomes habit, over time, becomes character.
*Shadow: You may be having difficulty summoning the storm. We all have one, and its strength is entirely dependent upon the energy we give it. Meditate upon the mantra of this card, visualizing yourself controlling the rain, wind, lighting and thunder. Calm it with your mind.
*Mantra: I am the master of the storm.

As far as Liz Taylor, her portrayal as Empress probably refers to the work she did during the very early days of the AIDS crisis, when she would go to hospitals and hospice several times a week- privately- and meet with the patients, help care for them, touch and hug them (when no one else would approach them without layers of protective gear due to misunderstand on how AIDS was contracted), pay a lot of their expenses (including burials), and basically embrace that entire community and act as a great maternal figure to those patients when their own families had abandoned them and society was so terrified of contracting the disease they basically ostracized them. She was a HUGELY maternal figure in those last few days for many many people and not a lot of people know she did that work. She was just outraged that people had basically abandoned all these sick people in their greatest time of need and felt like her whole life and experience was basically to bring her to that caring and loving work. I LOVE that she's the empress- I may get this deck based on that.
Also, she was the first and leading person of note to come out and fundraise for the AIDS crisis, and brought a lot of public acceptance and attention to it and was the impetus for them to do the research to find the drugs for HIV. Sorry for the "wall of comment", I just read about this whole thing this past month and so seeing her as the empress was a total "oh, wow!" moment for me- I always just thought of her as a Hollywood Grand Dame, not as a philanthropist or maternal figure. Now I see her **completely** differently. I have no idea if the author of the deck knew this or just liked the image, though, but it works for me.
You know, I did not even think of the work that she did in regard to the AIDS crisis as the association for the Empress. I lost an uncle to AIDS, at a time when people within our own family wouldn't even speak of it. He was one of the most loving humans ever. Thank you!!!! Now, when I work with this deck and the empress shows up it will mean so much to me. ❤
OMS!! That 7 of pentacles!! Yes, this card was made for me. I am also not a fan of the Empress, and most definitely not a fan of Frida Kahlo as the Queen of Cups, do not like when I can recognize the people in my cards... but the deck is amazing and I totally want it.... I would get it because of the seven of pentacles, lol. Thanks for sharing!

This is such a lovely Tarot, it's equal parts abstract and expressionistic with just a hint of Egyptian feel. I can tell that you really enjoy this one, your readings will be just as enjoyable.
I just started working with it yesterday but I do enjoy it and the ability ithas to make me slow down and process. It's actually a good surprise when the originally reason I bought it was for Frida. Thank you so much for watching Eddie.
