    I just got done watching the video for the 1st time and I must say that it was a very informative video, especially for guys who just upgraded from Helix 7’s to Helix 9 and have units with default settings 👍

    Hey, thanks for a great video! I was blown away by the +/- controlling sensitivity without having to pull up the menu! My lake is pretty barren with a Max depth of 45 feet. I never know where to set the Depth highlights at to look for fish. I don’t see fish on my graphs. But I know that’s probably a me problem. So I never know what depth to search. Helix Mega DI 9 GN4 with Mega 360 and Garmin 106SV at Bow & Helix Mega SI 8 GN3 at console. Is their any “general” place to start? Thanks again and God Bless!

      In late Winter or early spring I like start up the river/lake to where the channel (deep water) meets the shallow water and flattens out.

      @@KennyPattersonFishing Thank you. My lake runs east to west. It has a Dam on the East end. It’s more of a spill way. But they can open it a little though a small pipe I’m told. So the water really never fluctuates much. The shallowest and dirtiest water, 1-6 foot, is on the West end. In between is divided by 3 bridges. The creek arms are small and with almost no technical “secondary” points. Am I correct in reading your response that I should try the dirty shallow water on the western end? I’ve been fishing this lake for 5 years and still can’t figure it out. I’m tat bad. The warden told me it not a highland reservoir or a lowland. But can also be both at times. He fishes the tournaments like almost everyone else, so tight lips lol. Only known bait fish is threadfin. No herring this far north in the state. No grass. And a biologist said crawfish don’t play. Large mouths and Spots, not Smallies. It’s definitely been frustrating. I’ve idled the lake so much, I can’t see the water anymore hardly with my tack lines. Time I’ve put in, and will continue. I’m just missing something big it seems. Sorry for the book. God Bless!

      I guess you’ll have to treat it like a big pond. Start shallow and work your way towards deep water. Crappie on my lake go on bed when the temp hit 64-65 degrees. Depends on water clarity but I’m talking 2ft or less. Females will stage out a little deeper 7-10ft around cover then move in to lay eggs. White crappie seem to relate more to wood more than black crappie, but both will relate to cover of some sort. If you are allowed sink some trees in different depths to attract them. I like slick bark trees (Sycamore, Maple even Apple trees) because you don’t get hung up as much.

    On the nav screen, what is the meaning of the downward pointing white arrow?

    • @KennyPattersonFishing
      @KennyPattersonFishing  Рік тому

      If you’re talking about the arrow (bottom/center) of Navigation menu screen it is more options.
      If you notice when I scroll down it changes to up and down arrows

      Okay… when you are in split screen you can control either the left or the right side from menu button. The arrow shows which screen is active.
      If you notice when its in Side/Sonar/Down mode the arrow is in the sonar screen.
      Tap menu to select which side you want to control (Left or Right)
