The beauty of Vedic Hindu system is that it only talks about our human inner engineering and how to co exist with nature and surroundings in a peaceful and productive way. It never talks about other faiths or any cult. It is all about humanity, cosmos and our relation to it and how to attain salvation in this life through our good deeds for humanity. @Lubna The concept of spirit or "Atma" is unique to Hinduism and NOT found in any other religion. Semitic religions do not have this concept, what they have is ruach, which does not mean spirit, it simply means life-breath in the bible. There is no spirit in other religions. This is why they believe in resurrection, while Hindus believe in Moksha. This video starts with ADVAITA conceptual understanding of Brahman and Atma, which is misleading and wrong. Notice that the video says Brahman is unchanging, however it says later that Atma merges with Brahman and becomes "One". If Brahman is unchanging, how come "Atma" merges with "Brahman" and changes it? Even if you add a drop of water to an ocean, there is change in ocean by a small amount, namely volume of a drop. Even if the change is very small, it is change. Even if the ocean is infinite, there is a small change in the order of infinity. In the Vedas and Smritis, the word "Atma" when used in different contexts mean different things. When the word "Atma" is used in the context of "Brahman", it is used to identify the "IMMANENT Form of Brahman" in the individuals (body and spirit of individuals) and DOES NOT point to the individual spirit called as "jIvAtma". When the Vedas say "Atma" and "Brahman" are ABSOLUTELY IDENTICAL, it means that there is no difference whatsoever between "Atma" and "Brahman" and DOES NOT imply "jIvAtma" (individual spirit) and "Brahman" are identical. Yoga is NOT merging of "jIvAtma" and "Brahman", rather "jIvAtma" realizing correct nature of "Brahman" or directly perceiving correct nature of "Brahman" as IMMANENTLY present (as "Atma") in him. This is the correct understanding of Vedic scriptures. Individual spirit or "jIvAtma" CAN NEVER become "Brahman". Moksha is losing one's bodies (not just the physical body), including a particular type of subtle body called lingasharira (beginningless subtle body) and realizing true nature of oneself and that of Brahman, which are always different. Every "jIvatma" since beginningless time comes with a covering called lingasharira (beginningless subtle body), just as rice comes with husk (as said in Garuda Purana). In moksha, one loses this beginningless lingasharira and attains how own spiritual nature, freeing him from all material attachments forever.
