This is a marvelous view of the sociopath in action. He'll try anything-- threatening, begging, crying, playing the victim, apologizing, mentioning his supposed "rights"-- *anything* to escape. The entire lack of conscience is astonishing. Yet it's becoming more and more common.
@rcrawford42 With many of us, the character is so distorted and so selfish that it really doesn't matter if drugs are involved or not. The person is the same either way. I have much empathy for addicted people, since I'm in recovery myself. But no one will ever recover from drug addiction unless he's willing to address his morality. An abstinent sociopath is still a sociopath, and a wrecked and dangerous and pathetic person. My point in posting was to send out an alarm-- not so much about drug use as about the shocking ethical vacuum we're now accommodating for in America. We are doing an experiment. Let's see how it goes if Americans choose en masse to demolish conscience, hmm? How will that turn out? Visualize a consequence-free culture, right? What would *that* look like walking down the street?
@nigeltufnel9525 He is the poster child of malignant narcissistic sociopathy. He totally sums up the disorder for the whole world to see. In fact, he is little else-- if you remove the traits of sociopathy from him, there's nothing left. He is totally devoted to it-- energized only by it-- and in a romance with it. When we elected him, we in fact invited a strange experiment. What would happen to a formidable first-world Western democracy if it appointed as its president a full-blown predatory narcissistic sociopath? And we see how it went. It was completely predictable and completely inevitable.

Like you said this wasn't his first rodeo, but the guy might be crazy with or without the drugs. I wish there was some kind of long term solution to this other than life time incarceration. In California we used to have insane asylums for the long term crazy people. There were problems with the system and it was shut down when Reagan was governor. Whether the system was bad or good, I don't think anything exactly like it has been recreated. Now, I think people like this, just end up living most of their lives in jail. I'd like to hear from somebody that deals with this kind of thing as part of their job. I might be wrong.
@@davefoc...the jails are FULL. They let them back out for the public to deal with. Sad and scary.

People who get told what they're being arrested for after they asked but then pretend like the cops didn't say anything are another level of stupid
I know right. I get so tired of hearing them ask the same questions.
so many of the irrational goofs i see who are wildly over-represented in arrests apparently, seem to think that feigning that they don't understand reality, makes it not apply to them. i'm scared, so i don't have to comply! etc etc.... saw one the other day where some goof kid who had done nothing more than driving without his license was pulling this mess. cop told him plainly, he will ask him twice to comply, then move straight to physically forcing compliance. kid responded by asking for name and badge number. cop gave it. kid asked the charges. cop explained and for the second time, demanded he open his door and exit the vehicle. kid's reply was to again, ask for the name and badge number.... lol.... so the cop opened his door and pulled him out. kid tried to run and got tazed, fell over and rocked himself, shoes fell off. then he's all apologetic.... this game playing and manipulation nonsense, i much prefer it when the cops just forego engaging in any of it with them, move straight to force

They really need to fix this going to hospital thing.
90% of the cases they say it just so they don't have to go straight to the station and they hope to avoid what they've already been told. i would add the magic words: if you want to go to the hospital, no problem, but if nothing serious turns up or no additional operation is performed on top of what we already do internally, you'll be forced to pay a $3,000 fine........... you'll see how they'll stop asking you to go to the hospital just to waste your time.
3K? more like 30K! a CT scan cost like 10K +
Nah that would be to far, they should have to prove you were being negligent, if someone hits their head and goes to the hospital but ends up okay they should not have a $3000 fine, that will just result in the opposite affect too. We would have people denying help who actually NEED it

All criminals claim to know their constitutional rights, but strangely, they forget about their obligations, to obey the laws.
My husband would NOT have been that calm if some guy slapped and robbed me
I’m pretty sure he wanted to inflict pain on him like many men would have however police are present and even though police would understand his anger and desire to inflict pain on him, he was smart keeping cool because at the end of the day police DO NOT need to handle two unruly guys nor want to charge the in overt man attacking the suspect. As infuriating it is not have a chance to want to get back at the suspect, he used his brain and chose to not hinder the police’s handling and being charged to himself.
Far to much pandering to him and his entitled rights.

Great work officers!
This is a marvelous view of the sociopath in action. He'll try anything-- threatening, begging, crying, playing the victim, apologizing, mentioning his supposed "rights"-- *anything* to escape.
The entire lack of conscience is astonishing.
Yet it's becoming more and more common.
Sociopath or drug addict desperate to buy his next hit.
Yeah, it is. The Republican nominee for president of the United States is an excellent example.

When we elected him, we in fact invited a strange experiment.
What would happen to a formidable first-world Western democracy if it appointed as its president a full-blown predatory narcissistic sociopath?

@@kcchiefsproductions8687I don’t see it that way. I would hate to be called “brother/sister” by a criminal. It’s their way of trying to take control over the situation by pretending you are his equal.
@PatyM00N How can calling someone "brother" take over a situation, though? Maybe they are trying to soften the situation or something, but that's not a reason to get aggressive. If he simply just said "I'm not your brother" or something without getting so mad, I'd understand completely.
